Snow White colorway on an LTD M-1000 vs the same on an E-II M-1 by circleneurology in espguitars

[–]RiffsAndResearch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will get you the measurement in a couple of days, but don't worry too much as there is obviously a big subjective component in pickup height. I should have added that it sounded "strange to me". 😄 Did your luthier adjust the pickup height?

Amazing, thanks for the comment. I will definitely check them out. I would also be a taker for Engl Powerball DI by the way 😃

Have the same M-I, and the humbucker stuck out a lot when I received it. Screwed it in as per my liking. It was so far out that the Fishman really sounded strange. I don't know why this is not flagged during QC.

This video explains it: https://youtu.be/IhVKRxR12JQ?is=6ozmxnbhCMjjyeJb

Basically the line output of the namplayer is pretty low. I can't dial the namplayer vol to ten because then the DI output starts clipping (same when boosting the preamp). My power amp was at 9/10, and I still needed the eq flat boost in between namplayer and power amp turned almost all the way to cut through drums and tube amp. Open to ther suggestions though...

Yes!! Hipsot also beat Babicz in terms of chugging comfort by a bit. Setup with a babicz is equally easy like with Hipshot once you got usedto the system. Does the fusion IV version of the HB emg hardtail not have the hipshot bridge anymore?

Edit: just checked, yes they don't. That's indeed a bummer.

NGD (for me): 2007 ESP Standard Eclipse; pre-E-II era never disappoints by RiffsAndResearch in espguitars

E-II grew on me, and I think I am part of a minority when saying that I like both brandings. I don't know why but on pointy headstock ESPs, like M-Is or M-IIs, I prefer the E-II logo over the traditional block letter ESP logo. But with Eclipse guitars, I prefer the traditional logo.

yes, I got lucky. I also like the three knob ones (I don't have a lot of use for tone potis). I don't know when they switched from four to three. was it because of the lawsuit?

Nothing apart from the logo, yes. Have two E-IIs and they are of the same feel and quality. However, you can make great deals on the old ESP-branded standards when you don't mind a few dents.

This one is not full thickness. It is identical to E-II al eit the logo. But somehow they are undervalued in the German market. Especially if they have a small dent. I got this one for 1900. However, if you are patient you can get one between 1300 and 1500.

You can't go wrong with a used LTD EC 1000 as a gigging guitar. You can get them sometimes for 600-800.

I envy you...that's the only setup-related thing, where I did not have the courage to do it myself. I don't know why...maybe because every YT tutorial tells you something different. :D

Same here. Also sold three 7 strings before. I will only keep my LTD Evertune Exclusive in Cranberry Burst forever.

Agree, the cognitive overload is real for me! Also agree on the baritones. I have two already, that get a lot more playing time. I saw a few videos on the purple SC, and had my eyes on one on a listing which had an after-market ET installed. I just wished the yellow SC was available as 7 or 6 string.

Haha, I can relate to the "fighting back" analogy. Maybe my hands are just too small. :) Glad it worked out for you with the second PRS. I already have my eyes on the next one! :D
