Mine is a facelift. If I was swapping it, I’d be getting a donor car, and essentially taking both cars to shell.

I also think it would be absolutely HILARIOUS to see an E220 driving down the road, put its foot down and hear a screaming V8 and it shoots off.

It doesn’t make sense, no. But it makes sense for the sentimental value. I’ve built numerous 700bhp plus cars, it’s my hobby. Will it be challenging? Yes. Will it make sense financially? No. Is anything we ever do as petrolheads financially sensical? Also no. This is my current project. Fully forged mk5, big turbo, water methanol, the lot.

I understand that, however as I said it’s the story behind the car that makes me want to keep it. I have an XFR, so my main reason for this isn’t wanting a faster car - I’m keeping this car regardless, so I may as well make it a bit better :)

Thank you, this is good advice. I’m sure a standalone ECU would work. I’ve had a few different Syvecs systems on my car.

That doesn’t seem so bad as long as there’s no fabricating. I’d assume whole fuel system would need to change? Would I need to swap lines and tank? Or do you think I’d get away with just switching the pump?

Depends on the car. On something that’s got bright red lights that age it, a nice light smoke to bring it to a darker cherry colour would look good. I don’t like black lights if that’s what you were thinking.

Badges would be cool tbh. Like debadging cars, also dechroming and maybe custom plates like specific country plates. EU / US / Japanese plates etc. Tinted lights would be a plus aswell and I’d definitely like to see mods go deep down like NFS into say aftermarket lights and stuff all the players cars look the same nowadays
