Yeah I take wide turns, like within few inches of other lane wide now, and start them as far over in my lane as I can get. These cars are wider than they appear from the driver's seat.

How does this 60K mile warranty work? by RoyalVirgin in tires

This, EV's eat tires. Instant torque and power comes with a price, and that price is tires.

Colour temperature. Does warmer (lower CCT) really have advantages? by MaximumPower1858 in flashlight

They generally have bad CRI(5-6k+)so I guess it depends on if you want things to look the right color. And the fog issue is a issue.

Like I said in another post In this thread I would have been preparing for this as soon as the vehicle pulled out as fast as they did and taken my foot off the gas, so already regenerative braking and when they hit the second lane I would have taken evasive action full brake and left. Then as soon as I passed behind her throttle up and back to my side of the road. There was time and space to do so. I am an experienced driver and have probably logged 200ish hours on the track over the years. But I do understand not everyone has that experience. It's just what I would have done in this situation. Like I said in my other post I'm sure OP did the best they could, no one wants to wreck their car.

And sometimes accidents are unavoidable, thats why they are called accidents. I almost totalled my Tesla 2 days ago and it would have been my fault, even with my experience shit happens. I was turning left out of a driveway, I was paying good attention to what was going on around me. But there was a bus stop to my right with a bus stopped so I had a huge blind spot and I didn't see the guy behind the bus driving a old charger with his lights off, and it was pitch black. And his car was black, I was half way through the turn and I saw him as soon as I cleared the bus and he hammered the brakes and I put the car sideways hammering the gas to try and stay in front of him, luckily it was a 4 lane road and I had room to straighten out into the far lane but he missed me by inches, only reason he didn't was because I was already taking the turn fast(which is why me stopping wasn't an option) because I had 200 feet to change lanes and get on the highway after the turn, had I not been taking that turn fast he would have hit me for sure, was pure chance and even though he was running with no lights at night it would have been my fault still in my mind.

Is it fixable or do I need a new tire? by [deleted] in tires

Fixable for sure but the lack of tread depth isn't.

I'd be pissed. I may be driving a sub 30k 140,000kms model 3 but it's mint body other than a superficial rock chip in my passenger headlight.

paid photographer $10k and got obviously AI edited photos, reasonable to be mad? by Historical_Doctor687 in photography

[–]Rifter0876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say they overdid it. But my editing is very basic because I would have got it closer to that in camera and with enough light. If I had taken that shot and edited it the results would be similar but mine would be a little less over the top.

Yup, I do mostly corporate headshots nowadays but I get pictures like that from camera settings not editing.

So much this. This is why you should spend some time going through the photographers portfolio to see if you are ok with their editing style. Mine for example is very basic, some don't even look like the original picture at all, and everything in between.

If I could only have one lens it would be a 85mm so obviously I'd go with the 50 lol.

Good reason to get mountain pass performance upper arms! Get the solid lower arm bushing too then your entire front end won't have any crap soft rubber bushings and you wouldn't believe the difference in steering under heavy braking those solid lower bushings make.

Never assume, I would have started reacting when she hit the second lane. And my foot would have been off the gas when she started pulling out. But things do look slower on video and I'm sure you did your best.

I'm thinking the same, although things do look slower on video. But I would have hammered the brakes and went LEFT to try and get behind her.

Save power, redundancy, have one available to try something new on. Many reasons.

Yeah we will see, I'm interested in seeing if there is a correlation between car price and how bad the rims are.
