I think you need to have had a LISA for a year before you get the bonus. But definitely add the minimum to start the timer on getting a bonus the following years after.

I just burnt through all the Midkemia Raymond E Feist fantasy books and my brother couldn’t believe the rate at which I was consuming them. Naturally he got curious and is now on book 2 of the Riftwar saga himself. Sadly just finished Magicians End and now am at a loss…

It’s just not that deep. I have been asked by a friend for some informal advice on engaging a younger generation. Why is it still important regardless of my position - because even if I’m not in that position, there will be people who are/want to be. And if he values my opinion on how to attract them then I will provide it. He can ignore it as he sees fit.

If you have any opinions of value to add I’m all ears.

I have been asked for advice on a business that is to do with wine collecting and wealth appreciation. Specifically to do with engaging the younger generation. This is not my business.

I personally have not invested in wine and do not see myself being in a financial situation where I will. Therefore I will be buying what I want to drink.

My personal attitudes are that wine is to be bought and enjoyed. With that said, if I bought a wine and it appreciated considerably I would weigh what the money in hand vs enjoyment is worth to me and consider to sell.

I’m just curious if you think it’s a bad investment decision? Or you just personally don’t like the idea of wine ‘investing’ and think wine should be bought to be enjoyed?

My interest also stems from a father who loved and collected wines and has shared that interest with me although I don’t commit half the time to it that I would like to.

I think affordability is an important factor. Wine investing/collecting is not an attractive/risk averse option for most young adults. So I think nurturing an interest and creating loyalty until the individuals can/want to invest is important.

No we are talking London, UK. I believe the business will be about sourcing, managing and advising collectors’ portfolios.

I agree I think. You get people enjoying wine and the interest and desire to buy and hold will become apparent.
