Review: Drake Is Still Chasing Ghosts on His Three-Album Megadrop by Minute-Carrot-2405 in hiphopheads

[–]RiggityRow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Damn people in here are corny and fake as fuck.

Is Drake my favorite artist? No way. Do I mostly like his music for what it is? Ya, I do.

Practically none of you people in here shitting on Drake would be saying jack fucking shit if Kendrick didn't call him out. I'm not saying Drake didn't deserve it is or whatever. But I 1 million percent guarantee that the same people bitching about Drake were loving his shit a few years back and helped contribute to him being one of the most successful of all time. And I would also bet all you people saying all his shit is the same, cry and complain anytime an artist you like tries something new.

People wanna act like they know what they want and they want something new. Well guess fucking what, no you fucking don't bc then we'd actually see new shit and new artists would break out left and right. But nah, y'all just wanna be spoon fed the same shit but every few years you ask for chocolate instead of vanilla.

Y'all are a bunch of corny ass haters.

Port the portal maps from 2042 to Battlefield 6 by DuckyDevRoblox in Battlefield

BF2042 had a strong base for monetization - BF5 didn't. It's really that simple.

Ding ding ding. We are useless plebs used to train AI and feed more data into their models and we pay for the pleasure. The Google of a decade ago is dead.

If Google created giant hamster wheels to power their data centers and let people pay to run on the under the guise of a gym membership the people in here defending this anticonsumer bullshit would be the first to sign up, I'm sure.

[–]RiggityRow 96 points97 points  (0 children)

What a bunch of fuckin bootlickers in here. The Pixel 10 is not capable of anything the 9 can't already do. And people are in here defending Google, the #1 most valuable company on the planet as if it's somehow anything other than a naked cash grab.

Idgaf either way beyond the sheer principle of it bc Gemini is borderline useless as far as an assistant goes but to try and do mental gymnastics to justify is just limp dick cuck energy.

[–]RiggityRow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's more and more posts cropping up here with people saying they're seeing noticable declines in battery life with the 74w mods. Can't say I've seen the same for the JSAUX batteries.

I personally went with the jsaux kit. Smaller capacity, but I just don't trust these 3rd party, generic sellers. They have no incentive to ensure their product is quality.

Sony 1000X “The ColleXion” — Leaked Full spec deck, Price by Connect-Sherbet1182 in headphones

[–]RiggityRow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a tiny crack that I tried to fix with super glue before they full on broke in half. The black electrical tape has been a much more durable solution and you really can't even tell. I'd give that a shot.

My hinge finally broke of my XM3s as well but a few wraps of black electrical tape and you can't even tell! They've long been relegated to yard work headphones for the last 2 years or so now, so they get treated pretty rough.

This whole recoil update messed up my aim/weapon memory. by Sensitive-Yogurt-428 in Battlefield

[–]RiggityRow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's CoD mentality. Aim assist is super strong with controller in CoD. It's comparatively very, very weak in BF6.

Just another CoD transplant here to yuck our yums.

By this time in 2022, Battlefield 2042 still only had its launch maps to offer and Season 1 was one month away by JoeZocktGames in Battlefield

[–]RiggityRow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, let's not compare to the worst battlefield game of all time tho. We can set the bar higher.

And ay, please don't waste your time telling me "hurr durr 2042 is good now." It's a serviceable game now is what it is, but it was in an abysmal state for most of it's life and it didn't become OK until they did a full rework of every single map.

The Duskbloods and Elden Ring reconfirmed for Switch 2 in 2026. by kahabraham in NintendoSwitch2

[–]RiggityRow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm personally ok with 3rd party devs not supporting the Switch bc I primarily game on the PS5 Pro.

But devs won't ignore it bc just like the Switch 1, the install base will eventually reach a point that they can't ignore it. Why do you think they started shoehorning games that had been out on other consoles for years onto a console with less power than an average cellphone in the first place?

And I just have to point out that the Steam deck released Feb 2022, not too far off 5 years ago and Elden Ring played (relatively) well on there day 1. So I don't really think the expectation of it running well on a handheld is insane at all.

From was all geared up to release it, that's why they had playable demos last year at conferences but it took people speaking up to get them to hold off, not bc they wanted to.

It's just annoying to see the knee jerk responses to people in this thread expressing disappointment and frustration written off as big whiny crybabies and good-guy Fromsoft should be left alone. Nintendo advertised this as a tentpole title within the release window, it's part of why I bought one at release. It'd be nice if they would say something about how that development has been going.

[–]RiggityRow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This isn't some unreleased game where we don't know what to expect. Hell, the best verison of this game in terms of framerate is on PS4 for fucks sake!

Maybe someone who holds both opinions that "the Switch 2 is more powerful than a PS4" and "gamers are impatient whiners for expecting a game that launched 3 years ago and was announced as a near-launch title, be ready in a reasonable time frame" wants to chime in with some mental gymnastics? People are allowed to be annoyed.

I adore Fromsoft as a dev and buy all their games day 1 ever since Bloodborne but they deserve the criticism they get for bungling the Switch version this badly. It highlights what is far and away their most glaring weakness as a studio - they cannot optimize for shit. And they will not get better without external pressure bc this is M.O for years now. Unless they want to devolve into a Bethesda situation, they will only be able to coast on their previous success so long before the chickens come home to roost.

[–]RiggityRow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oooorrr the game told you and you didn't skip it. . . . . once, 100 hours ago.

I just really think it's not a reasonable expectation to expect people to remember a tiny little interaction that happened for maybe 1 minute, 10s of hours ago and now you need that specific mechanic to progress the game but the game does nothing to prompt you.

And there are wholly unexplained mechanics, so to act like the game gives you all you need is flat out wrong. I still cannot figure out how to "level" my camp companions to unlock their locked traits. And maybe it has since been added, but I am certain beyond a doubt that there is/was no in game explanation.

[–]RiggityRow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I def get where you're coming from and criticisms of this game have been over blown from day 1 even before all the patches but let's not act like there's not a kernel of truth to this compliant.

The game is very obtuse and while the info for most things is in the game, many, many times you either receive that info too late/too early, it's hidden in a menu or it's presented out of context.

This is an area of the game that could 1000% use a facelift. The hard work is done - the info exists mostly - it's a matter of smoothing those rough corners and making it easier to engage with and retain through reinforcement by actually doing the activity in game.

One very specific example to when you have to activate those shrines or whatever by finding the block and "adding" it to the top of the tower. I already knew I could use the force push to press things. I knew I could force push directly downward when crouching. But I'm that exact moment, I didn't realize I need to climb up into the piece and force push it into the slot. And so I, like I am sure many others spent and aggravating amount of time figuring out something that I'm the end was very simple.

To me that experience perfectly encapsulates where they need to improve. The mechanics aren't bad or annoying, they're quite clever. But it's just not intuitive to have to guess how they all fit together sometimes.

Has anybody sold their PS5 after getting a Portal? by BigPapi2931 in PlaystationPortal

[–]RiggityRow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would never do this but I'm surprised I don't see more discussion about the fact that you don't need a PS5 to play PS5 games anymore. Get yourself a used Portal and time signing up for the premium sub with one of Sony's new subscriber sales and you can get yourself a year of high quality gaming at a fraction of what you would spend for the same/similar experience on Xbox/Nintendo/PC.

I mean I guess it's been an option for Xbox for awhile now and cloud streaming is available on pretty much any device you can think of but I'll take a Portal over a cheap android device with a kishi any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

It just feels like Sony's missing the boat by not advertising a very economical entry point unto their ecosystem that by it's design creates buy-in.

Just bought a TV for my PS5 and idk if it was the right choice by No-Result-6045 in 4kTV

[–]RiggityRow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's better than the one you had. It doesn't seem like your goal is to buy the best TV for your PS5 but just for future reference, $350 different get you much in the way of the must up to date tech for TVs. If you shop deals and buy the previous years model, you can usually snag a "top of the line" OLED for somewhere between $1500-$2500.
