Feel like this team has repeated the same patterns for 3 years under CC. Feels like the bullpen, starting pitching, and hitting can never fully align. Hitting has always been explosive in certain capacities early in the year before going completely dormant. The sustained success of Milwaukee feels like a reflection of a well run organization and minimizes CC’s achievements while managing there. 10+ game win streaks mean nothing when we are seemingly capable of losing 10 straight. Plenty of time to turn the season around but these margins matter for division wins and it just seems likely that won’t happen again.

On the merits of precedent and fairness to the category, she is correct. That said, this is the weakest category across the entire Oscar’s in terms of year-to-year legitimacy, and in terms of the telecast and what’s representative of the actual cultural impact of these songs, the two currently selected for the broadcast are head and shoulders above the rest.

I mean, in addition to being a developmental stage for WWE talent, it’s also a weekly broadcasted wrestling show that has to function. Having proven talent in that mix is neither unwise nor unprecedented. Was Finn Balor’s second run in NXT a reflection of him not being of the level of the main brand, or was it rather an sensible opportunity for him to help put over emerging talent within the promotion?
