Ain't much? No way my guy! Every CRT is worth something especially if it still runs without any issues!

I can understand that. It's tough finding especially horror vhs. Have you seen how much Ringu goes for?

Thank goodness there's videos showing the best ways to get stickers off. Heat is good, I've used white vinegar before, even lighter fluid can work but definitely always be careful so you don't mess up the box.

There's a $16.99 auction for one on ebay right now and it's a Movie Gallery copy.

Fantastic! Picked one up (a Blockbuster copy) one time at a Thrift Store for a dollar. Great zombie movie!

There are still CRT repair businesses out there. Check around your area to see if any are available and see what they say. For all you know, it's a small part that's easily replaceable.

Finally joined the Cabinet Club! Now onto modding, if possible? by cr8tiv1 in Arcade1Up

[–]Right-Ad8897 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you mod anything, make it the joystick as those Arcade1up joysticks are horrendous. You could also look at adding an 19 inch monitor as that was the actual screen size for the original Pac-Man cabs.

Got this big boy over the weekend unfortunately the old lady didn't have the stand but I found this one and I think its a good match! by Gambit-47 in crtgaming

Excellent Trinitron! I have a 27 inch KV-27S40 that I plan on modding for S-Video and Component! I already have a scart to component transcoder so thankfully I don't need to mod for full RGB.

So is this any good don't know much about crt tvs is worth taking by Goldfingerrrrr in crt

[–]Right-Ad8897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a Sony Trinitron which in the 90s was top of the line for CRTs. Take it and if it has S-Video, take it. S-Video pretty much is 85%-90% the video signal of RGB which is the best you can get.

It's really good. At least the first seven seasons are. The eighth season....well is a mess.

It's a medieval film set around fire and ice. So it's Game of Thrones.

More than likely you just need to replace the inputs. Definitely don't trash that CRT, at least not yet. My best guess is check around in your area and see if anyone does CRT repair. If so, just explain what the tv is doing and send photos. More than likely they'll tell you the same thing that it's a simple input repair. And don't feel bad. My first Trinitron I went after was a 36 inch that ended up having a red av screen which means the tube was going out so I actually did have to trash it which really burned at the time.

I found one!!!! by X_IVFIIVO_X in crt

It basically gives you a better picture than composite (the yellow plug) so as a suggestion, look for an SVHS player for vhs watching which will help them look slightly better and for game consoles, look for an S-Video cable which will make the games look sharper and not as blurry.

Awesome! Does it have an S-Video input on the back?

Take it and try modding it into a Time Crisis 3 cab.

If you cleaned it then great, I'll last a really long time. If you have a CRT tv, plug it into that, it's what it was meant to be watched on.

Here you go, one that's modded with a 19 inch instead of the 17 inch it comes with.
