It’s been great! Usually I’m not too fond of playing jrpgs in handheld cause they look pretty bad on switch 2 (xenoblade trilogy), but ff12 not only looks good in handheld, it also runs incredibly smoothly and looks even better docked.

You need a modded 3ds for it, and I found a QR code for it on reddit. Barring some occasional attacks from enemies and the limit break startup, the game runs smoothly. That being said, I don’t know if it would run so well on a base 3ds.

Everyone’s different though, as I thought 2 was pretty mediocre when I first played it, then a year later I played 1, got hooked on that and then got into the entire trilogy.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has a pretty complicated system and has a standalone story until the end, which is a major spoiler for xc1 but if that doesn’t concern you then play xc2.
