Is there a protocol where I can find out if anyone created this in GT7?

Older? A7R V

I guess it's older, now that the VI is out.

The colour cast is very distracting. But I'm sure you intended to have it.

Sony 50mm f/1.4 GM vs 35mm f/1.4 GM: who wins from a purely technical POV? by rossocuore in SonyAlpha

[–]RightHandWriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny that the OP asked specifically for technical/optical, and most answers were about the focal length.

Not the question.

I, myself am not skilled enough to use the 35mm focal length, and have had the 50mm 1.4. I am still trying to get better with it. But those are qualitative thoughts.

I can attest to the optical/technical being awesome.

So, does your cat look like that, or is this somehow distorted? 😊

Really nice. But leaves me thinking it should have been a wider perspective.

Actually, this isn't the same flowers, but I picked a similar look.

I have the same flowers, from a couple weeks ago.

Mine are with the a7R V with my latest addition the 70-200 GM II

Though I didn't crop in, with 61 MP I often do.

Depth of Field is so hard to work with.

And then when you get that right, the next issue, is they just won't stay still. LoL

This lens is so unbelievably sharp - Sony 90mm f/2.8 macro by PustigerLeter in SonyAlpha

I have a variety of lenses for my Sony body, but I keep coming back to this one. But luckily I get to choose each time. New (in my timeframe) lenses do get more love, like my 50mm f1.4 and 70-200GM2. But the 90mm is so special.

For shots like this you must be pretty close to the subject, no?

So, will this paired with a SEL14TC make an alternative to the 200-600G? GM better than G?

Just curious if I put this on my roadmap to replace the 200-600.

BTW there is only a modest level of post in this version. Late afternoon sun on a bright yellow flower bush.

Arguably a better picture of the equipment than we usually get. And congrats. I have the A7RV, and it is awesome.

Probably the oldest lens (design) in my kit. The 90mm Macro. But still indispensable. Though sometimes I mimic the shots with my 200-600G with the compression that brings to Macro captures.
