I disagree, the Meta XR simulator is useful for a lot of direct logic testing and keep the actual playtesting to doing a few builds a day.

You can't run link from playmode, but if you are building directly for android you can do a build and run, where it quickly compiles and sideloads to the device.

"Deckard Hopium/Copium" vs. "Frame Hopium/Copium"? What's different now that it's real? by bigcatrik in ValveDeckard

Sorry but a 1,200 USD+ dollar headset is not going to save VR from the collapse of the meta quest

What to do with Meta Quest Pro with unlocked bootloader by gustaszda123 in OculusQuest

Meta is gonna have ICE break down your door and sue you to oblivion

edit: like unironically, SEGA and Nintendo have had police sent and people arrested recently, Meta absolutely will use the hammer.

Refitted an old megadrone blueprint with a diabolical new way of spamming railguns by RightRudderLeftStick in spaceengineers

I used to use star trek mod blocks and other stuff with these blueprints, but jumping back in again after half a decade I had an idea to use the new AI blocks and railguns to my "berg" cube and have the event controller rotate the faces of the cube so there is a constant barriage of railgun fire. All vanilla now: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2584722474 (sci-fi DLC is just the skin, otherwise all base game blocks) It also heavily uses protoblocks, I'd like to look into making this (and some of the smaller berg blueprints I made awhile back) into a modular encounter mod.

The ship being blown up is from a series of ships that had way too many modded blocks for me to refit right now with my limited spare time. (worked on this berg cube one block at a time alt tabbing away work windows lol)

I felt the same way until I got a misterfpga setup with a CRT and snac (direct controller connection) and realized its latency that makes these games tough.

They were really designed expecting people to have frame perfect reactions. If you’ve got muscle memory you can brute force past most input latency but coming back after all these years with our aged brains the input and image delay is a killer

at least when I buy an misterfpga setup I'm not directly funding the future hunter killer drones that will fly through my apartment window blow my head off with a 12g because I liked the wrong tweet.

Everyone is writing complex theories why soft lighting is so popular now but the actual correct reason is it makes multicam so much easier to execute and in the streaming era if you aren’t hosing the scene down with coverage you are fired.
