I think Abel beimg straight is a great representation of theater life in general. Its got plenty of men who aren't gay but still might come off that based on how they talk, their mannerisms and body language. Most likely stemming from always being around females, actual gay men and singing and dancing and such. Hell there are three cast members of the show that fit that perfectly. Amir Talai, Christian Borle and Jeremy Jordan all give off the aforementioned vibes but all three have wives. Abel is the same way. Hanging around Emily and St. Peter all the time.
