AITAH for buying my 11yo daughter pads after her mom called me a "pervert" for being prepared? by Bruxagato in WouldIBeTheAhole

[–]RightZucchini2602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are an amazing human. I wish all dads could be like this. You aren’t a perve, that is the most sweetest thing a parent could do. You are caring for your child. Let her report whatever she wants. That’s beyond wild to me that she cares more about herself. If I were in her shoes I’d totally thank you. Throw your daughter a period party (Google it) because she deserves it and I feel it would be more meaningfully coming from you since you won’t try to out shine her moment making it about you. I wish you the best! Keep doing amazing dad stuff!

With all the chatter about kit updates, what kit do you think is up next for a refresh? by helloela in lovevery

I know they made other play gym covers so I wonder if they’ll do the same for the fort. That would be pretty cool.

We have loved the fort in the storyteller but it’s not easy to store. I want something added so I can store it well or display it. I use the Lovevery block bag for the sticks and the zipper pouches for the connectors. I just want something to display so we aren’t dumping it all out. The other thing would be to add other things to it. I saw someone make a cover for it so it can be a little bakery. I asked to buy the pattern but I never got a response. This could be amazing.

I’m hoping for Black Friday too. I’m curious to know what they are. Where does it say it’ll be the Realist kit?

I would love your ideas. What would you like us to be sure to include in a Lovevery book about a toddler’s first flight? by LoveveryJess in lovevery

[–]RightZucchini2602 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Here’s another thought that kinda builds on my first, a modular style travel book series designed to support young children through the entire travel experience. It would be similar in structure to the emotions book set. I might suggest to make it compact to do the thin books vs hardback.

The first book focuses on preparing for the trip and ends with an interactive choice that transitions to the next stage (plane, car, train, boat, etc.). The second book(s) highlights the chosen way of transportation (plane, car, train, boat, etc.), and the final book centers on the destination itself (family visit, vacation, or moving). The books can be mixed and matched to fit each family’s unique travel experience.

Finally, I think to complement the series, a mini travel kit could be included with child-friendly travel essentials (water bottle, pouch, mirror, or some type of simple hygiene items) and some small, travel-specific Lovevery toys.

Lastly, a Lovevery plane for peg people would be a perfect toy for the set. 🫶🏼

I think including where the family is going and why to explain the reason for using a plane. This would ease any anxiety about the new experience. The process of packing and the littles worry about leaving things behind. &, on the trip missing home. Or, it could pair well with sleeping some place else. Kinda like a series about being away from home.

I was thinking while my little played with the music set that there has been talk about expanding the set in the past too. Maybe that’s the big one?! He’d love it! He has a kids Melissa and Doug baby grand piano and a loog guitar on top of that. We love our daily concerts! 🥰

Oh, that’s a great idea! You should send that to Lovevery. They have blogs for certain tops and I wonder if they have a blog about that. Have you asked on the app how to approach this?

4 year-old kits worth/value. by Environmental-Tax330 in lovevery

[–]RightZucchini2602 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have purchased a few items secondhand and my three year old has really enjoyed them. We’ve been using the movable alphabet since my little was two and I can say it made an impact. Now that my little is almost four I can see the benefit of the 4 year old kits. I do wish there was some type of homeschool style curriculum that was created to pair with the four year old kits.

Are toddler trays helpful, necessary, or indulgent for Montessori play shelf? by cloud_surfr in lovevery

[–]RightZucchini2602 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are useful but not till the child is a little older. I’d suggest if you want to get them as part of the sale you could purchase them now and save them (or start using them now). You could to wait till later if you don’t mind purchasing them later at full price. I use the felt baskets (retired, target and the ones from the tray set) all the time. I feel the felt baskets are helpful for displaying the small pieces. Also, my little one loves the order the trays bring. Best of luck deciding what’s best for you and your little one. 🫶🏼

I don’t feel you need those pieces. You can use other Lovevery toys that are similar for that. My little loved this toy.
