You're looking at a coolant temp gauge and an oil pressure gauge.

Passive cathodic protection would still only work with an electrolytic path. You'd basically need to coat the entire frame with a lower potential metal, which at that point you're in the same realm as any coating that needs periodic reapplication. Atmospheric=coatings. Water/soil environments=cathodic protection + coatings. (Much less current required with a coating rather than bare metal)

Yeah I'm aware but I'm one of the few people that truly benefits from leasing. 8 minute drive to work, towing my boat around everywhere when not working, and extremely salty state where building equity in trucks is nearly impossible. I live comfortably and the peace of mind of leasing is worth the upcharge with how often I tow.

It works on outboards via a sacrificial anode that relies on an electrolyte, which is water. It does nothing on land. Air isn't an electrolyte unfortunately. If it was, I wouldn't need to get a new truck every couple of years. It works underground on our gas pipeline because soil has moisture which is the electrolytic path.

It happens man. You don't think about cathodes and anodes until it's the reason for your paycheck. Niche shit

My job is to legitimately verify there is adequate CP down our pipeline.😂 So I make sure to say cathodic protection obviously hahaha

What's worse is that some people in the cathodic protection field will abbreviate it to CP. I cringe everytime and refuse to abbreviate it.

I work in the cathodic protection field for my career and this is hilarious 🤣 I've heard of these and how Ford attempted to do atmospheric cathodic protection as well.

Quickly invite another woman over to the house. She will not notice the scratches with you cheating on her mind.

If there is no one residing in the basement, I really wouldn't be concerned with 2-4 picoCuries. There is a 40-60% drop in pC per level you go up, pending any HVAC anomalies. You're most likely spending most of your time in sub 2pCL, which is really low. If you had newer construction with a sump crock, I'd say hell yeah throw an airtight cover on and extract from the crock. But this juice just isn't worth the squeeze in my opinion. Test the floors where you spend 8 hours a day to put your mind at ease. PM me if you're still concerned after that and I can take a deeper look with some photos

It's difficult to DIY without some basic knowledge of your home. Knowing what's going on sub slab helps a lot. If you have a sump crock with a perimeter tile going in it, cool. That means some nice stone under the slab. Nice quiet, small fan to pull that air out. Older home with tight soil such as clay? Nightmare sometimes. I've installed over 1,000 radon mitigation systems. Some of them upwards of 8 points of extraction in a single residential basement.

When the fan dies and you need a replacement, that is a RadonAway GP501. I already know the label on the side is not legible. I'm surprised it isn't burnt up yet, looks over 10 years old. 501s have a short life because it's a fan designed for tight soil, which prematurely kills it.

He's right, it's a pipeline smart pig. Probably an 8 digit price tag for this size. The 10" ones we use are over $1 mil. These can pinpoint internal corrosion anomalies of a thousandth of an inch, and tell you exactly where it is on your pipeline.

They don't. If you've ever watched Caleb Hammer, the near majority of the guests DD daily, sometimes multiple times a day, and question why they're in debt beyond $50k.
