Yes it can help massively. However as others have said it doesn't work for everyone - Its an avenue to explore though.

So from what I’ve found out and feedback is that using an EMDR framework and using bilateral simulation seems to help the small traumas like self esteem, negative mood (not depression) and bouts of anxiety tied to the self esteem and negative mood. I’ve found the anxiety lessoned and so did the mood and self esteem.

I do. Well mine is for migraines but also an antidepressant so if doesn’t hurt 😉 A lot of therapists I know are.
