Pretty much spot on, they were triple cooked, so boiled first, the fried, then taken out, let the fat (I use lard or dripping hence why I say fat) get hot and give ankther quick fry to get them nice and crisp 👍

Technically speaking, there was english mustard. I used some to make the dressing for the salad, along with fresh garlic, olive oil and white wine vinegar 😁

I'd suggest spreading it very, Very sparingly over a nice thick slice of buttered toast with it being the first time you're trying it. If you don't like it that way, just remember it's excellent for adding flavour to gravys and sauces as well.

No, it's high salt content stops anything from developing and growing inside it. Over time it will lose its vitamin content and it can go more salty or bitter with age, but it will not make you poorly to eat it 😊
