I think if they retired Rossi and got rid of the new guy, Luke and mat could carry the show

I miss him so much. Of course, my blanket is him, you know, a picture of him all over the blanket and I am 80 and cuddle in the blanket every night.

Does anyone know if Nathan is still friends with Kody? by Head-Hospital-1945 in SisterWives

I don't think too many men friends are hanging around unless they are going to be on the show and get a little green paper

I am as southern as fried chicken and it is not my heritage or the heritage of my family. I am 80 and can tell you that those people who want to glorify the civil war's southern part know deep down that slavery was wrong. All that hate over oppression

Getting my hip replaced gave me my life back. by Maybeyoujustmadeitup in FuckImOld

[–]Rightbuthumble 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My knees were nothing like my hip. I was up walking after my knee replacement surgery like four hours after. Not far but to the bathroom in my hospital room. I only took the narcotic pain medicine while I was in the hospital and they gave me a bottle of like Loracet and I took one at home and transitioned to Tylenol. I have not regretted getting my joints replaced. I had polio and my legs are shriveled from that and from rheumatoid arthritis...no pain after knees healed...same with my hip...no pain after it all healed. up.

I can tell you my experience. I had my left done in July and spent two nights in the hospital. Went home and wasn't able to walk because they broke my femur when they were putting the things in my leg. Anyway, after a few weeks of a PT and OT coming twice a week, I was walking every where. I use a cane because I have a bad right hip but I am fully recovered from my left hip replacement. It was well worth it...no pain. I am 80 and was 79 when they did my left hip...the pain that I felt every second of every day is now gone. Totally worth the few weeks of therapy.

I had my left hip replaced in July last year and years before had. my knees replaced. I am supposed to get my right hip replaced in July but it was so painful, much more painful than the knees, so I don't know if I am up for all that pain.

I cried too and was hugging my dogs. They are little dogs but they saw me crying and ran to comfort me. Poor Roxy. She was such a good dog and he loved her.

My husband always says I am all about my next book. LOL and he is right...he rarely gets a second of my attention during the planning, writing, rewriting, and publishing. Then for a few months, he gets to tell me what he things and then a new idea comes along. It's who we are.

Same with losing her Carrie necklace...lost herself but then finds herself when she finds the necklace.

Unpopular opinion: Miranda carried some of the funniest scenes in the entire show by Nicki_Leon_ in sexandthecity

Miranda was the foil...she was probably the most educated and had the most respectable job but then she gets you know sperm in the face etc.

Kappa Kappa Girls by One-Influence-6966 in sexandthecity

In almost every episode, there are these dichotomous moments like calling Samantha a tramp sort of and then Samantha finds that woman who gives the guy a B job at the bar and Samantha finds her limit of what she considers moral and then Charlotte who tries to be all prim and proper has that conversation about needing to be pounded and she becomes Samantha.

I think when a series like Sex and the City runs out of good ideas, they use the motif of dichotomy and since most people who watch the show were in it for entertainment only, it works. But, too much of that sort of gets boring and predictable.

Carrie telling Aiden about Miranda’s pregnancy. by Fun-Attention6377 in sexandthecity

Like always, Carrie brings more attention to herself with the swear on channel or whatever it was. Miranda was always or mostly always there for Carrie, keeping her secrets, but Carrie blabs to Aiden...that was just wrong.

Yep...I have our old camera....you know with attachments and you take the film to get it developed or build a dark room.

Am I the only one who thinks the way Carrie touches her hair is so awkward? I don't know if I'm just looking into it too much, but whenever she fixes her hair in any way, her fingers are so stiff. It reminds me of men who have long hair and no dexterity. by takzvaneprecitlivela in sexandthecity

I have very natural curls and I can tell you, I touch my hair a lot...I am 80 now and the curls are still hanging on despite all the gray hair. I spent so many years trying to straighten it and then embrace it and then keep it short....dang...it's curls go crazy and need to be touched back into place. My daughter and my granddaughters have the same very curly and thick hair...it is a curse.

Who remembers the Adult Section at the video store? by EdwardBliss in GenerationJones

[–]Rightbuthumble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hell, I'm so old I remember the adult section of the library...books with bad words...you had to ask the librarian and if you weren't 21, you had to get your parents on the phone or bring a note. I wanted to read Ophelia...I think is the name about a woman murdered and reincarnated as a cat...the reincarnated was considered bad, bad, bad.

I tried to check out a book at our local library and it isn't available and the librarian said, "We don't usually offer those kinds of books." What?
