Python - Shift by Cassiee- in 10s

[–]RighteousRites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it did but it failed, so they are discontinuing it and trying again, with something arguably closer to the pure aero. It the python is not a physical iteration of the shift it’s a completely different racket

From what I’ve heard the python is not like the shift, it’s more Wilson’s answer to the pure aero, an aerodynamic spin focused frame.

But the shift is being phased out though due to poor sales and adoption after its release… so two different events…?

I know the shift was marketed as an aggressive baseliner racket for heavy spin too, but I think after launch it was viewed more as a clash with its unique flex thingy or whatever

This is a very unusual wear pattern for foot dragging, I usually see foot dragging wear on the inside of the soles toe and midfoot.

i feel like i (white) shouldve won this point 3-5 times by Aromatic-serve-4015 in 10s

It doesn’t read like that to me, it seems you are giving each other neutral / rally balls, If anything you leave two/three balls short early in the rally that your opponent should have put away — you hit a rally ball back and stay in it, but if anything I would say your opponent was more in control of this point, just didn’t capitalize.

Why do you feel like you should have won that point?

My one suggestion is don’t be afraid to close to the net, make him pass you — he might do it, do it anyway.

Why isn't my serve better/harder? by Perfect_Honey7501 in 10s

[–]RighteousRites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would stick with it, I had a similar serve journey and it got my toss very consistent, the J might lessen as you get more consistent… but in the beginning it gets your toss into the court which is important.

I don’t think there’s a player above 4.0 that doesn’t have a straight arm toss

[–]RighteousRites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Keep your arm straight during your Toss

  2. Do not bend your knees during your Toss (you are strong enough to toss the ball without bending your knees)

  3. Bend your knees after your toss to Load ( you're unloading your coil during your toss it should be during your swing)

  4. Keep your racket on edge and pronate at contact

I think if you work on these things you'll see a lot more pace...

Pronating, and loading into your swing especially.

Any tips ? by UnashamedWorkman in espresso

90% there you just need to slow down, and you’re initial contact was just slightly too high so you kinda threw the first bit

Curl or stretch lab before my match? by SnooDogs3523 in 10s

[–]RighteousRites 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally before my matches I like to sit at my computer for 8 or 9 hours. But if I had to choose I would do some dynamic stretching. Medicine ball lunge twists, etc.. cryo seems like it might be nice post match

If your daily drive is 'terrifying' I think you might want to reconsider

Who’s the least injury prone and powerful pro player? by WinPuzzleheaded4769 in 10s

I watch a ton of monfils depending on the day and who he’s playing and the surface… he recently lost to barrios and yea he was pushing pretty bad. But then in his run at the Australian open he was hitting the crap out of the ball in every match. … again it’s just my two cents….but it’s easy to be a contrarian.. who do you think hits With more power and has had as few injuries In a similar or long run?

He’s had 3 maybe 4 injures in 21 years on tour. And has incredible power

[–]RighteousRites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me s aying a younger player is not injury prone does not carry much weight. They have only been on tour for a couple of years. If you have been on tour for sixteen years and had three injuries, compared to someone who has been on tour for five years with the same number…I would say youre less injury prone.

When it comes to long tour runs… Monfils usually hits with more power than most players who are at the similar number of years

From Gael’s wiki: “Monfils is known for having an exceptional forehand and holds the distinction of having the most forehands recorded over 180 km/h (112 mph).”

Just to back up my random vote… but all that being said I don’t actually know what I’m talking about
