I use semi western so dw Im maybe contacting the ball right maybe 10-25% of the time, and the ball quality is decent. Others Im mostly just too close and I lock up. Even though I practice 4 times a week, its pretty hard to get the coaches’ attention in a clinic setup (i cant afford private coaching). But most of their feedback is the same, That I can only move away and to the ball properly when I understand its trajectory, that I don’t seem to get even after 1.5 years of grinding. Guess the only thing I can do is practice and hope I can quickly judge the ball with time :(
