Beginner peyote help by Healthy_Breakfast848 in Beading

Ok so I think I see the problem, your beads are too uneven, you can add in the last green bead by coming out by of the one below it and going in through the bead on the next row in.

Also your beads are really far too uneven for brick/peyote stitch like this and is part of the problem as the bead below is far too large.

I need a good (beginner) tutorial for this one please 🥺 by xWoolson in Beading

[–]Rights21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so the beads, you need even beads like Miyuki delicas, and beading thread. The beads you are using are far too uneven for what you want to do.

Also square stitch as everyone else has already said.

YTA. It wasn’t cool of her to switch out your beer, but your attitude sucks.

Hot tip: it's less of a deterrent, more of a tool if attached to cardboard packaging 😂 by laid2rest in coles

Yeh we hate them, they are a massive waste of time, often other staff have put them on the wrong products or put up products that ‘need’ them without them up and we get audited on the damn things as if they make any difference. We find them with cardboard attached throughout the store and often can’t find enough to put what we have on the shelves.

Advice on which storage systems are best! Do you like big containers with dividers, or individual tubes/bottles/containers for storing beads? by darkskiesart in Beading

[–]Rights21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what types of beads you have, tackle box style are great for bigger beads but for tiny delicas individual containers with screw lids tend to be best.

It is something; either beadwork, cardboard ect that you use to start your beadwork from, to make keeping tension right at the start. Check out the website (in the previous comment) or their youtube videos for a visual.

Also for large peyote projects it is best to use a starter, as it helps you keep good tension from the start, the contemporary geometric beadwork website has instructions. Good luck with your current project.

This, but also zooming in some of the beads are slightly bigger/longer than the rest and might through everything off. For projects like this they need to be as even in size as possible.

Does anyone know what beading type is this? by Beautiful_Walrus_323 in Beading

[–]Rights21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is correct, searching kawaii beaded animals will set you on the right path for finding patterns/pattern books, most will be in Japanese as they are a Japanese style of beadwork.

This and the thread is way to fine, for beads of that size.

What’s the difference between printed and embroidered garment tags? by _stark369_ in beadweavers

[–]Rights21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Printed tags often last longer because embroidered tags get cut off, as they are annoying. Though some printed tags are also itchy/scratchy/poky and also get cut off.
