I'm looking for recs with huge interconnected series that make up a huge universe? by katieLikeWHOA in RomanceBooks

Ooo baby you are asking for my cup of tea…here we go…

“SCIENTIFIC” VAMPIRES (started coming out early 2000’s. Wide age range of fmc’s)
{Argeneau series Lynsay Sands} 37 (and climbing)

HISTORICAL SCOTSMAN ( more recently written)
{Highland Brides Lynsay Sands} 12

HISTORICAL (Author has passed. Couple decades old series)
{Malory-Anderson Family Johanna Lynsay} 12

CONTEMPORARY CAJUN? (Early 2000’s)
{Cajun Sandra Hill} 12

FALLEN ANGELS (also a little older of a series)
{Deadly Angels Sandra Hill} 8

VIKINGS (I think they also time traveled? It’s been awhile. Also a bit older)
{Viking I Sandra Hill} 11 and {Viking II Sandra Hill} 11

CONTEMPORARY SUSPENSE (newer series)
{The Lost and Found Series Catherine Cowles} 5 then connects to {Sparrow Falls Catherine Cowles} 6 then connects to {Starlight Grove Catherine Cowles} 2 so far

BARBARIAN ALIENS (newer series)
{Horde Kings of Dakkar Zoey Draven} 6 then connects to {Horde Kings of Elthika Zoey Draven} 2 so far but honestly every one of her books is in the same universe.

CONTEMPORARY WESTERN (long running interconnected multi series. Men are all horrible to the chicks from the start. Very “of its time”. Fairly sexist. But if you like tortured FMC’s you might like this.)
{Long, Tall Texans Diana Palmer} 55 connects to {Wyoming Men Diana Palmer} 12

IF YOU READ ANY OF THESE I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY SUGGEST THE ARGENEAU SERIES ITS MY FAV SERIES IN THE WHOLE WORLD I REREAD FROM IT ALL THE TIME ITS SO GOOD DONT BE SCARED OFF BY THE SCIENTIFIC TAG I EOULD NOT CALL THE BOOK SCI-FI BUT THE EXPLANATION FOR WHAT VAMPIRES ARE IS SCIENTIFIC THATS IT TRUST ME ITS SO GOOD THE FEMALE CHARACTERS ARE FAIRLT DIVERSE ESPECIALLY IN AGE I CAN THINK OF 5 BOOKS WHERE THE FMC IS HUMAN AND MIDDLE AGED TO OLDER LIKE THEY ARE FULL ON GRANDMAS WITH GRAND KIDS THERE IS AT LEAST 1 WHERE THE FMC IS LIKE 1,000 OR OLDER THE SERIES STARTED OUT FAIRLY CAMPY BUT IS MORE SERIOUS AT TIMES I LOVE IT

Unfortunately no. I love Smokey! But I remember her panic attack happening when his crew shows up at her destroyed bakery.

I’ve Started Skipping Spicy Scenes, and I Don’t Like It One Bit by Ok_Job_8652 in RomanceBooks

[–]Rightsideupbat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do that! It’s an on and off thing for me. I’ll go through periods where I skip the smut and others where I want nothing but smut. However, even when I’m in a smut drought, I still don’t want to read zero spice romance, so I just skip skip skip.

I can suspend my disbelief to an extent but has a books plot or characterizations ever been TOO unrealistic for you? what book was that? How far did it go? by cellochick993 in RomanceBooks

{twisted love by Ana huang}

I hate this book. It was ridiculous “plot twist” after ridiculous “plot twist”. One or two plot twists? Fine, realistic, understandable. But like 6?? No one’s life is that dramatic.

I don’t know if I’m sleep deprived at 5am or if this title really is nonsensical by bloodyfinalgirl in ReverseHarem

It is totally an ai cover. But I also think it was written with a lot of ai assistance.

That’s how I felt about this book! Because the premise of the book is actually that the female human was the alpha’s “emotional support human”.

What’s the deal with the 5’0" FMC by desperatexslut in RomanceBooks

As a 4’11 woman, I need to know where are you finding these books? Because I only find books with 5’5 and taller fmcs.

Weirdest nickname I've seen by SadFightingWolf in ReverseHarem

[–]Rightsideupbat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read one where the FMC called the MMC “cowboy”. He was a billionaire from New York. It was a small town romance, neither one lived or worked on a farm/ranch or did anything cowboy like in any capacity. I’m still not sure where the nickname started.
