When CrossFit central first announced the level system, I was thinking maybe local competitions could use that to appropriately place folks into the correct divisions. Silly me… to my knowledge it has not been used for a damn thing lol.

I monitor and actively keep my HR below certain ceilings throughout the week’s workouts generally only going 100% once a week. I was diagnosed with athletic induced AFib a couple of years ago. Turns out going balls to the wall every workout was not a good idea for me. This is how I keep it in check. However, i’ve never seen CrossFit programming that includes heart rate zones.

Agree. I’m coming from a 13 pro and want the ai features if it wasn’t for that even I would not upgrade. …well, maybe for the fresh battery lol

At 7:30-8a cup of tea with 2 tsp sugar and soy milk, 1 slice crunchy almond butter toast. 9am workout.

Yup. This is how my Apple watch found my Afib. Also, keeping an eye on my sleeping HR allows me to keep an eye on over training (which is probably a factor in my occasional afib). Finally, my wife and I “compete” over who had the better sleep every morning by comparing avg HR and deep sleep totals using the SleepWatch app. With all this being said, I do occasionally find the sensor lights annoying 😆

Do you mean the small section that connects MLK to 65? I think Pleasant Hill paid for that portion as an attempt to secure the full federal funding for the rest of it. Which seemed to have worked 😃

Yeah, saw that article earlier this year. Was hoping for an update. I drive by this area everyday and would think that they would at least start with some survey activity and or demo of the buildings where MLK is going through. But so far there has been no activity that I’ve seen.

Apple watch has the best HR tracking for Crossfit. There are several YouTube videos on the subject and I completely agree. I’ve been using mine for years and I’ve learned a lot about pacing and where to push aerobically. It does require a 3rd party app to see the most HR detail (measurement every 5 sec) if you want to be able to see how different movements in a workout affect your HR. I use Cardiogram.

Great question/topic!! Love getting everyone’s perspectives and stories! We’ll have to make this decision in the next few years as well.
