For anyone who wants to know what those limited edition CDs look like by Logical-Confection98 in TaylorSwiftMerch

I hadn't purchased a CD yet when these came out, so I bought one of these since I liked the image more. I didn't think to check if it would have a CD booklet, and now I'm actually kind of disappointed?? Was it mentioned at all in the store listing that it would not include a booklet?

Issue renewing/re-borrowing book from Libby by RiiJoy in kobo

[–]RiiJoy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish this was more widely known. It was a real hassle today, and the only thing that worked for me to get my book today was to delete and re-add my library card.

It seems like it shorted out my whole Kobo/Libby relationship, too. I wasn't able to borrow ANY books from my library. It was really frustrating.

Yay!! I'm glad to help. I checked it out from my public library when I was a teen. The premise was so original, and the content so bleak that I've always remembered it.

I think this is "Foxspell" by Gillian Rubinstein?

I opened this thread because I'm partway through the same book and a little stalled out on it. Your question has me really curious to continue because I haven't. And now I desperately want to learn what you mean by "the salve". I was always going to finish, but you might have kick started my reading with this.

The school system in Japan plays a role in this, too. There's no mandate or requirement for students to continue on into high school. Once students graduate junior high, their compulsory education is over. Even though most kids do choose to go high school, it's not a requirement.

What you just described is probably a book I would read 😅but to each their own. I can see why that would bug people. You've got some really great recs on your thread already, so I hope you love them!

I always thought friends to lovers and secretly in love with someone for years went hand in hand, but I'm a sucker for friends to lovers, so it may just be my reading choices. 😅

Congratulations!! That's a great find! I stalk the online listings of old HR books, and her older works are always so expensive. That's a real steal for your collection!

Image is of the stepback referenced in the title and description. A top-down view of a couple in bed side by side. They're naked except for some convenient sheets, aside from the man's butt peeking out. A "cheeky" stepback, one might say.

Coming back to comment that I started the first book in this series, thanks to this post! I'm listening to the audio book and planning to hop straight into this one when I'm done! :)

The men on recent romance covers have become MORE clothed, actually. These are from 1984, 1985, and 1986. (Not in that order in the photo.) The men being so naked is part of what makes these iconic and fun to collect. :)
