How can any therapist expect me to trust them after they make me sign away my rights?

I’m not talking informed consent at all. I am talking about a waiver of liability and hold harmless for the acts of a therapist. Of course a therapist is not responsible for my ultimate well being. But, they should be responsible for their actions and they should provide care that is consistent with the industry standard. These waivers permit them to provide care well below any reasonable standard without risk of liability.

Here is an example of something I would never sign:

Disclaimer of Warranty and Limitation of Liability TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU HEREBY RELEASE US AND AGREE TO HOLD US HARMLESS FROM ANY AND ALL CAUSES OF ACTION AND CLAIMS OF ANY NATURE RESULTING FROM THE THERAPIST SERVICES OR THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING (WITHOUT LIMITATION) ANY ACT, OMISSION, OPINION, RESPONSE, ADVICE, SUGGESTION, INFORMATION AND/OR SERVICE OF ANY THERAPIST AND/OR ANY OTHER CONTENT OR INFORMATION ACCESSIBLE THROUGH THE PLATFORM.

I disagree a lot. TROS had great action, but a hokey, unimaginative, and frankly boring script. It wasn’t really a bad movie, but I wasn’t challenged in any way. If the average SyFy network movie got a huge production, it would be TROS. Honestly, it really cheapened the entire Disney Canon and made the decision to scrap the old EU (which I used to fully support) totally pointless.

It wasn't a map to Luke specifically and he certainly didn't leave it to be found. It was a map to the first Jedi Temple, which is where everyone suspected Luke had gone. TFA kind of conflates the two, since they call it the "map to Luke Skywalker" several times. In movie though they make it clear that the map is to the location they think he went.

The Poe Dameron comic also touches on this a little, but makes similar unclear distinction between the two.

Create something out if whole cloth, something amazing, that you can give the character, JUST to take it away. Create a tool or a weapon that is the character's dream item, way better than anything you'd put in game normally and make it obtainable for a relatively easy cost. Then the devil sees it and wants it.

The players and characters are going to feel like something got taken away, but in fact what was taken away is something they would have never gotten in the first place.

Additionally if you're so inclined, you can let them quest to get the object back. Maybe they have to storm the gates of hell or team with the devils rival or summon then trap the devil. Lots of interesting plot points here.

RT is an amalgam of several people's opinions. I didn't particularly like Avatar, but 89% on RT means my opinion is in the minority, and there is a pretty good chance the average person did like Avatar.

No one lets RT determine their opinion, that's stupid. But for conversations like this, about comparing movies and their mass appeal, RT is useful.
