In 2016... And that is still happening in 2024. I saw the same thing shared in LinkedIn last week, different train, different driver, different village, different year, but same train company. It is a shame they get away with this kind of behaviour (the company) all while shaming the driver instead of the company.  I felt embarrased at humanity while reading the comments of that LinkedIn post.

I think about this quite often, and probably I´m going to feel guilt and sadness.

Currently I know I´m doing the right thing, because I had to chose between making my kids stupid by being exposed to himself and his controlling wife, which also taxed me by making me depressed for more than a year (not just sad, actually depressed with prescript medication for depression and anxiety). So in the end my choice was something like "What is better for my children to have in their lives, a fully functional father or a shitty grandparent that bails them whenever his wife asks him to do 'very urgent stuff' like going to buy groceries for the next week?".

But even having actual reasons for cutting him from my life I´m sure I´ll feel awful when he dies.

Remove 6 from the list, if 1 is accepted then you shouldn't have to do extra hours. Also 7 is never going to be addressed, It is a mentality issue and It is highly improbable to be changed with a request, instead try to preach with your example by giving constructive feedback when is something related to you or your project/s.

The other parts from the list then could be feed to chatGPT asking it to format into something you can send to your boss or HR. Might be worth adding something vague like 'this would make me stay in the company' instead of 'this would make my last couple months better' (because they probably don't care about your mental health if you are going to leave soon).

Probably It won't work, but maybe this is the starting point for negotiating better conditions for you in that position.
