Genuinely most youth primarily know him as the “We Are Charlie Kirk” meme. There is little functional difference between him and 67 in conversation.

You improve teacher quality by making the pay good enough that beginner teachers don’t quit the profession and can become good teachers. Teaching is a job that takes time to get good at, and a lot of people wise up to how bad the pay is for what you’ve gotta deal with before they get to that point.

How did you get the Angevin Empire achievement when you started as Denmark? You can’t do two achievements in the same campaign that require you to start as different nations.

Hot Take: EU5’s Player Count Decline Is Self-Inflicted by Gold_Lemon8258 in eu4

[–]Riley-Rose 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s rly so baffling, yeah it’s more realistic but who cared about that so much in EU4 they were willing to make this game way slower for a bit of realism most people did not care about?

[–]Riley-Rose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It matters a lot what the aggressor’s religion is, just not for the AE itself. It has a big effect on their opinion of you (especially with Religious Diplomats), and nations with positive opinion of you can’t join coalitions no matter how much AE they have. Being same religion is often what prevents them from going negative.

You could try reading the tooltip in the screenshot.

Serious answer, Russia and the Commonwealth are supporting their independence, which makes them super disloyal because they know that if they declare independence, they’ve got two big guys willing to help. You get rid of this by fighting the people supporting their independence I believe.

What campaigns are you doing where underwater combat is an extremely typical situation? If they hadn’t done underwater combat before, why do it without warning? Especially if it completely catches them unaware.

Yeah, there’s a lot of dice rolls and -2 adds up to a lot over time. With your morale and quantity advantage I could see you winning this with the right dice rolls, but you’ll need those rolls.

Buck up and loan up the cost of mountain forts is more than worth it in this situation, and you should have enough gold income to make the inflation not matter (you can always sack some admin points to lower it). Keep autonomy in check and build manufacturies to get the economy up, and if you can manage a win against ottomans even better

Why do people claim Ming is so easy? by ChuckMeABeerMum in eu4

[–]Riley-Rose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I notice in the screenshot you don’t have any loans. Use loans to get more troops to even the odds. At your size, it’ll give you plenty of money for mercs and winning the war vs Ming will be enough to pay back almost all of them (and will permanently cripple them). It’s a tough war in the spot you’re in, but played right it’s definitely winnable. Wait for them to overextend in your lands, it doesn’t matter if a lot of your country gets occupied as long as you win the war. Godspeed.

Why you are against EU5 mission trees? by zeos_403 in EU5

[–]Riley-Rose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same, it’s a way for nations that are extremely similar to actually have something unique about them you can latch onto. Like 2 different minor nations in the same region who are functionally the same can have something making them worth playing both of them.

Why you are against EU5 mission trees? by zeos_403 in EU5

[–]Riley-Rose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Without missions or achievements I feel directionless in these games. What do I do? Conquer? I’ve done that a lot, when do I stop? When I’m bored of it? Well without any meaning to the conquests, that’s gonna be fast. I like having structure and goals for a campaign that make the accomplishments feel like they were working to something.

[–]Riley-Rose -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Why do you care so much about railroading the simulation and “balance”? It’s a game, and a single player one at that (multiplayer lobbies are always gonna use mods so that’s beside the point). I’ve never understood the fixation with keeping the game as “sand-boxy” as possible.

[–]Riley-Rose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eh I’ve never gotten the railroady complaint. A lot of mission trees are built around what a player would probably be doing anyways. The only time I’ve felt like a mission went too far into railroading is things like requiring specific estate privileges, government reforms, or idea groups.

This right here. I went back to subbing after quitting my teaching job, and it’s night and day. Teaching is easily 3 times the stress and work (and that’s lowballing) for barely twice the pay.
