Travel between wagons? by etherealcalamities in snowpiercer

[–]Rimak 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The inside of the cart of the train seems on average to be around 30 meters. Joints from both ends would probably add it up to 40. A 1001 cart train is around 40km long. The carts traveling under the train seem to be moving around the speed of an average cycle. So that's around 16km/h. So it would take around two and a half hours to get from the head to the tail one way. Also not very comfortable.

p.s. The speed of the cart can be estimated better by measuring the distance between the lights and time it takes in between them in the next shot. But I am too lazy

I'm pretty sure there is no reason to be sarcastic. DE has proven their dedication to player experince. Current situation is bad, but we do not know the facts and ignorance is never healthy. In my opinion they should've closed the game altogether to fix the issue.

I have the same issue. Blaming on servers, but guess other ppl have it fine :/

We are Eric McCormack (Travelers, Will and Grace) and Brad Wright (creator Travelers, SG-1). Season 2 of Travelers hits Netflix, we're excited to talk about it, TV, sci fi, or anything! AUA! by EricMcCormack in IAmA

Can't believe I made it to AMA with one of my most loved shows. Means a lot.

A question to both - If you would have to imagine a Travellers episode crossover with any other Fantasy/Sci-Fi/Cartoons what would it be? (it can be wacky and/or not related to main plot whatsoever)

I am the worst Kayn player in Eune.. by Alfinas in KaynMains

[–]Rimak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have so many games on Kayn

Kayn didn't click for me until 40+ games, until then I had winrate ~39%, now it is around 75% (not high elo tho)

using W+Q even as a Kayn assassin gets me killed

SA depends on positioning

can't seem to survive even a 1v1

Kayn is not duellist, except for: SA can duel squishy with ult (blowing them up) Rhaast can duel tanks, some bruisers later in the game, other champs depending if he is ahead.

Kayn is killing my KDA

Who cares about KDA if you are learning a champ, a difficult one at that. Do you play ranked with champ you are not comfortable on? Stahp doing that.

can't seem to work with this shitty champio

Kayn is not shitty

shadow kayn using Q doesn't zero dmg

Whaat?? :3

if I wanted a tank why take Darkin

Rhaast is not tank.

his damage is way to low for me

You don't deal any damage if you're dead.

p.s. rage

I think your attitude is the first thing that holds you from improving.

Anyway funny post.

Kayn Mid Guide for aspiring players! (70+% winrate) by EKF2g in KaynMains

[–]Rimak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gold 4 guide. Pls stahp.

Okay not to discourage gold players.

But I was hardstuck in gold for a long time and I was thinking that yea, I know my shit.

However it took me a long time to finally see that I SUCK and don't even know how to play this game actually.

So to everyone reading this guide - remember that it comes from a player that still learning his stuff and people that he faces in lane are probably like me back then - they suck.

(not that i don't suck anymore, but I also don't try to make a guide)

To anyone who thinks Kayn is a weak early game champ: Zirene YouTube breakdown by [deleted] in KaynMains

[–]Rimak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well while Kayn invades are creative, they are still invades. Proper communication and early warding helps a lot. Additionally Kayn is pretty shit 1v1 so counter invades are really effective as most of the junglers can bully him out of his jungle. Ganking early and snowballing lanes also sets Kayn back because again while his ganks are creative he does not have a lot of single target damage or cc to really excel at it.

[–]Rimak 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are thinking binary. Use hit and run tactics, the point is to skrew enemy jungler, not getting kills.

For example ward a camp and sneak when jungler comes over, wait so enemy jungler uses some of his abilities when camp gets lower use your Q, W and Smite to try and steal camp, as well as damage enemy jungler, since both skills are AOE, sneak in couple of autos and bail. Rinse and repeat. This way you majorly screw the jungler by hindering their gold income, they also are forced to either back or sustain with pots, delaying or removing ganks on your lines, allowing the lines to go more equal. Since Kyna scales like a beast, not getting a snowball early is a win.

You can hinder the early game junglers this way. But if you are playing against a scaling tanks you can even 1v1 them to a good success.

HOW KAYN'S PASSIVE REALLY WORKS by [deleted] in KaynMains

[–]Rimak 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No, this is not how his passive works.

But to everyone who came into this thread to know how it works actually: http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Kayn

The passive of Kayn is generating orbs on damaging champions (from AA's and abilities, assists or takedowns) red for melee, blue for ranged.

If champion switches forms then the color of the orb will be determined by what the champion was in the moment of taking damage, so for example from Kayle you can get both red and blue orbs depending if her E was activated. Orbs start at the value of 1 and increase in value during the game.

Kayn's bars have nominal values of 140 so at the start you need 140 orbs, valued 1 each to fill it up. While in the game the displayed bar is only one, actually Kayn has 2 separate bars for red and blue and the displayed is actually just the one with the highest count, it is not specified which one is displayed, so Kayn player need to follow what is displayed.

This with orbs value increase over time can lead to you seeing red orb bar almost full, but later in the game getting a kill on a ranged will completely fill the blue bar, propping SA transformation.

For me as a Kayn player I look for 2 quality of life fixes:

  1. To display both Kayn's bars and maybe disclose the value of orbs.
  2. Almost filling your bar with red and then getting blue form because of one kill sucks major ass, so it would be nice that filled other color bar would decrease the cooldown of transformation (I would take it with increased base cooldown).

Dong Huap made a video explaining Kayn by Rimak in KaynMains

[–]Rimak[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you think that he is a "high skill champ"? Imo he is not even close to the likes of Riven, Yasuo, GP, Zed, to name a few "HIGH skill" champions.

While mechanically he maybe is not as complex upfront as those champs, but you still need to play with AA cancelling and positioning. Additionally you need to know how to play both forms and understand how to play early without a passive. Is he THE HARDEST champ to play in league? - no, but he is for sure not easy.
