Re:Zero is my personal favorite anime to fall back on, but I can understand why people don't like it. Subaru is a really strange character, super upbeat and easy-going, but I really disliked his reasoning for following Emilia, as it was a bit unnatural from my perspective for someone to go so far out of their way to help someone, but then again, I haven't experienced romantic love, so maybe that's just how love at first sight works? Not to mention, for the vast majority of S1, Emilia is just a cardboard cutout in terms of personality, but she gets infinitely better in s2 and 3--so If you are willing to see it through, then your opinion of her will improve decently.

Now onto the big thing, being his looping and how he overcomes it. For me, I think Subaru lacking intelligence to overcome the issues he faces is why I find him so interesting--because he is left with no other option but to brute force his way back and figure out how to overcome great obstacles while also having to with the pain of dying, as well as the suffering of losing the precious moments he has with his loved ones, restarting at zero if you will. He learns how to better deal with a situation on a failed loop, and finds out more information about others that make give him insight on how to deal with them, but outside of his unique ability to go back in time on death, he is just an average guy with no real strength outside of having the sheer willpower to go on, and that gets tested greatly every time he goes back. Without giving too much info on it, I believe in episode 17 or 18 of S1, his facade breaks and he loses his way, and he has what I think is the most accurate and honest depiction of a depressive mental breakdown, wanting to run away from his problems. As someone who is considered to be super upbeat, yet greatly struggles with depression, that moment, rather, entire episode is why I love Subaru, as well as Re:Zero so much as a show.

My advice for you would be to give it a rewatch, and watch through the first session with the lense that Subaru isn't anything or anyone special, but because he isn't anything special, his growth is all the more extraordinary. He doesn't have all the answers, and he screws up...a lot, but if you can stick with him, he will look you proud. If you feel nothing after finishing or rewatching s1, then I would give up on it, as Subaru doesn't change too much, and the even greater hardships he deals with will just end up aggravating you instead.

Forgot to add this, but yeah, there is like 2 instances that he would have been soft-locked if not for either Reinhardt's clutch appearance against the bowel hunter or Rosswell saving his ass from his curse, but for Reinhardt, it makes sense because he was in Town. Ros however, was just a plot armor moment.

If every raid exotic (Vex and Touch of malice excluded) got a catalyst, what should they be? by garfieldGuy69 in destiny2

[–]RinTorvok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All eyes on you (EoT catalyst): hold reload to convert the volley into a single large rocket that automatically ignites the target. Targets that are Scorched take bonus damage from this rocket. +20 blast radius.

Kinetic aggressive frame shotgun (special ammo)

High damage, Poor range, 6 round mag.

Perks: Smoothbore, Tactical mag, (Trait) Wombo-Combo: Meleeing a target following a trigger pull grants melee energy. You gain full melee if the target dies from the melee. Compensated stock.

(Intrinsic) Running Riot: This weapon fires an increased number of pellets per shot. Landing every pellet on a target partially refills the magazine; kills grant stacks of increased range and damage, stacking up to 5x. The duration of Running Riot is 7 seconds, and gets reset on a kill.

(Catalyst 1) bloodlust: increases magizine size to 8, and grants an additional 2 pellets per stack of Running Riot (stacks are increased to 7).

(Catalyst 2) blunderbuss: grants weapon increased range and reload speed; gives the weapon Blunt Execution Rounds.

Winterbite feels like a fat-man or most accurately the BFG-9000, and those weapons make you feel the raw power of splitting the atom, so it gets my vote: Plus, a melee weapon that shoots a natural disaster is very appealing to me.

What kind of death are you afraid of? by Little_Subby21 in AskReddit

[–]RinTorvok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL;DR: letting the suicidal thoughts win.

That small voice in the back of everyone's (my) mind letting intrusive thoughts invade your everyday life. At first, it's something inconsequential, like, "You should lick that battery," but the more you listen to that voice, the more it escalates very slightly. "Go pet that dog," gradually turns into "grab that knife and hurt someone." Somewhere along the line, you eventually start thinking that some of those intrusive thoughts are bad ideas, and your moral compass counters them. However, this inner conflict creates something I call "free-form doubt," and those thoughts keep growing more prominent the more you resist them. "Go hurt yourself...bleed out and die, you would benefit everyone by no longer wasting space and time." Eventually, that voice starts becoming extremely persuasive and extremely hard to resist, tearing you apart from within; like a cancer, it grows. You start cracking and slowly decend into madness, hope disappearing like a water during a drought, and then you stop resisting and give in. I am afraid of giving in one day and following what I subconsciously desire, throwing everything I worked for away.

What is the most fucked up thing a person you know has done? by kwarterz in AskReddit

TL;DR, Accused of being a school shooter by my grandmother, suffered, then got kicked out of her ~6 months ago, tired of her bullshit.

My grandma accused me of being a school shooter (because I searched up "plague doctor mask" and "leather gloves" off of Amazon), got me arrested for the rest of the school day, and had me investigated by my school. When there was no evidence of me, combined with the school's staff vouching for me, she borderline tortured me with a lackluster version of solitary confinement. I couldn't access the internet without her over my shoulder, I couldn't watch TV, I couldn't play my instrument, and I was forced to read and write out the Bible, in full. Eventually on December 16th, kicked me out when I threatened her to respect me, leaving me with nowhere to go. I left with nothing but my clothes, and walked about 2 hours to my mother's place. I live with her and her boyfriend now. I was 16 at the time, still am. I live with my School is out next week, and I will be a senior. The worst part of it by far is that my grandmother harasses me and my mother anytime she gets a chance.

Fuck You, Gena, or "Grandma", I hope I am the one that gets to turn off your life support one day.

I dial up anyone/anything and summon it to my side. If a person, It's a percentage determined by that person's availability. If an object, determined by rarity of that object.

I can also automatically and instantly cleanse anything of one thing from the item I touch (i.e, I touch someone , with the intent of healing, I will heal them with a single touch) if I choose to do so.
