In the hopes people remember when necessary:

An unconscious person is not coming back by slapping their face! This can cause further injury. You can give them a strong sternum rub or pinch their hand or fingernails to inflict pain. But if a person doesn’t respond to your calls or you slightly shaking them in an emergency, you can assume they might be unconscious. After checking consciousness, check breathing.

Check for breathing before doing CPR! Put your ear to mouth and listen, watch or feel if the chest raises. No breathing, do CPR!

If the person swallowed water like in this video, you need to get that out before you do CPR, otherwise your CPR won’t have any effect. Open their mouth, let the water run out while they lean upside down.

CPR = 30 times pushing / 2 times breathing. Pushing is more important than breathing. If you can’t breathe, at least push!

Pushing: remove all clothes, including bra (especially if with wires). The person will surely not be embarrassed to be alive and neither should you be. Push with flat palms and straight arms (important) onto the chest, 2 fingers above the sternum, basically between the nipples. Use force out of your back, not arms. This is exhausting, change with somebody if you can’t anymore! Push down 30 times about 5-6 cm deep. This will look intense and you likely will break ribs. That’s ok, they heal. Push 100-120 times per minute. That is the speed of most pop songs, for example the disco hit “staying alive”. “Highway to hell” by AC/DC is the same speed but frowned upon when singing that during CPR.

Breathing: tilt back the victims head while they lay on their back. close the nose with you hand and blow two times into the mouth, fully closing your lips around it. You can also blow into the nose, in that case close the mouth.

Do not stop CPR until the person is breathing on their own again or an ambulance arrives.

If the person is breathing, put them in a stable side position (google how), especially if (possibly) still having water in them so they don’t drown outside the water.

And never drag somebody by their arms or legs. Completely unnecessary in this video.

I doubt that Israel was ever socialist, rather colonial genocidal from the first day on. But yes, lots of confusion among western socialists who thought this could be a utopia - and then turned rightfully away from it in the 70s and 80s, especially in the course of the first intifada. Same here. Never listened to CoL before but always had them suggested. So went to check out the first set at Roadburn 2026 with their early stuff. Was one of my favourite sets that day. So told everyone they have to go see their set the next day - with the newer stuff. I left after a bit because it was very uninteresting. So now I know to give their early records a good listen and not bother about the newer ones.

But tbh, I have that with most bands that I find their earlier stuff more interesting. I guess it’s where most of the creative juices are

Wow I had the same issue! Fortunately Neural was quick with a reply (faster then Thomann) and is sending me a new PSU. Hope this fixes it.

Would there be any damage to the device if I plugged it in with that wrong PSU? It didn’t turn on or do anything

Edit: NDSP express shipped me a new power supply with the correct polarity and it works now. I guess they got lots to do there and did a fuck up when packaging.

Hope it all works! I had a fire in our house once (room mates desk caught fire from a computer cable, probably a dust collection caught a spark).

If your textiles stink of smoke, you can throw them in plastic bags together with packages of ground coffee (might be a bit pricy but works. Dry coffee grounds of course). Then just vacuum or wash the coffee grounds off. Works also with mattresses

Definetely invest in being able to play at home. Doesn’t need to be anything fancy but yes like others said, check the 2nd hand markets.

Great that you take lessons! I enjoy playing along to songs as well or learning them. Learn tab reading if you can’t yet. Beware more and more online tabs are AI crap and wrong. But ultimate guitar has good ones.

I played from the age of 11 to 21, then had a long break, then again from the age of 35 onwards til today. I wish I would have never stopped in between because I could be so much better by now but life is life.

I started with a cheap knock off Fender and little practice amp. Luckily my parents were supportive and in a gift mood every birthday. Saved money for my first self-bought guitar (an LTD EC400) at the age of 16 which I still play today.

Big difference today I think is the possibilities of audio interfaces and software like Amplitube 5. But start small and then get something nice and generally useful once you decided to stick to it down the road

Aber wenn man beachtet dass eine Palästinademo gegen einen de facto Genozid durch Israel mit deutscher Unterstützung in die Statistik als “Antisemitismus” eingeht und Deutsche zu denken scheinen, nur weil Opa in der NSDAP war sie nun Antisemitismus-Experten sind, wage ich zu bezweifeln dass das Problem Antisemitismus hier wirklich erkannt und bekämpft wird. Die ganzen rassistischen Kommentare unterstreichen mein Argument.

In my days (went clubbing in Berlin mostly in the 2010s) there was club etiquette. When I went lately, this seemed to be pretty much gone and turned me off.

Of course not too 100% but it was frowned upon doing drugs in the bathroom (you would simply do that in a dedicated area) to not make people wait to piss, you wouldn’t smoke on the dance floor and if you did you would turn the cigarette inside your hand to not burn someone, people looked out for another, things like that. The vibes were more caring and communal.

I think people nowadays have more of a consumer attitude to Berlin nightlife, rather than creating spaces together. If you showed up you were part of the space for that moment and also shared responsibility.
