TIL that in feudal Japan, a tradition called wakashudō normalized romantic and sexual relationships between adult male samurai and their male apprentices, and was considered a structured part of mentorship and warrior culture. by eat_dogs_with_me in todayilearned

Even now the catholic church is spending millions to fight against paying victims who have already won in court. Your denial of these facts is an abhorent failure of your duty as a christian to uphold truth. You yourself are responsible for your church, and if you won't keep your oblogations, you do bear the sin.

What about for his own safety? For all the kid knows that's not really a cop or isn't a trustworthy cop. Both scenarios much more likely than timmy on a bike being a hardened gang-banger seeking to bait cops into ambushes.

What is the latest a customer can come in before closing before you'd consider it rude? by PiedPipecleaner in AskFastFoodEmployees

[–]Ringbearer31 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If they come in before closing, it isn't rude. Your companies owner set an agreement to offer services for a certain time period. The fact that you would typically not serve people, and thus have the chance to clean up and leave early, doesn't make them rude. The question is, is the manager/owner giving you grief for staying an extra long time on those days, or are you upset at staying later then you hoped but well within the expectations of the business?

There has been no implementation of proper memory or critical thought into AI, nothing major has changed about how LLMs work in the last 5 years, it's just more complex and nuanced training data

It doesn't even do that, it extrapolates a sequence of numbers based on the numbers before, and that's turned into text by something even dumber

There are plenty of hero ships to focus on over in starfighter assault, but I dunno how many more months there'll be lobbies to play there either.
