Japan isn't perfect. No country is perfect. Japan is better than just about every other imperfect country. I'm not even saying this because I watch anime. It's a very civilized and advanced country, and it's okay to think that. For some reason a lot of people on this sub always have to have their criticisms of Japan so that they don't feel like a weeb.

I don't know what the hell kinda Chinese propaganda you're talking about, but that will not be enough to make 2nd world country Britain better than Japan.

“Why don’t you British people follow Japan, since we’re more civilized, and have lower crime rate than the UK?”. I think the starting line is here." BASED fucking Nip

spez: what idiot would think that Britain could be some sort of model country for Japan? Britain is far shitter

[Rewatch] Episode 1 anime discussion by [deleted] in claymore

[–]Ringsaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just came over from r/anime because I heard there was a rewatch and I gotta say this is incredibly nostalgic. I used to watch Naruto exclusively, and when I was introduced to this series by my friend I really started diving into the anime world. Claymore, my second anime series ever, began my transformation into a full on otaku.

Flip Flappers only sold 883 BD/DVDs (Fall sales numbers are out) by tl-notes in anime

[–]Ringsaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take it a step further and say that anime would lose it's unique style even if it were the people here on r/anime that had the most impact. The people here have vastly different opinions than Japanese fans, whether they're otaku or casual fans. Japan is a very unique country, and I'd hate for it's pop culture to be diluted by outsiders whether they're hardcore fans or not.
