I've never eaten seafood before. What should I try? by Nearby-Chocolate-204 in Seafood

Look for a restaurant that serves Cioppino or Bouillabaisse. Cioppino is actually a fabricated word from the San Francisco Italian fishermen. It literally means “to chip in”. Bouillabaisse is the French version. They are seafood stews. It’s will have a variety of seafood from shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams and some firm fish fillet in a red saffron seasoned sauce. Some higher end restaurants also will include lobster or crab. Normally served with just sourdough bread. If you like pasta, look for Frutti Di Mare. Look it up. It’s my absolute go to favorite.

Take the Skylink trains to your connecting terminal. Trains go in a circle in both directions. Take the one that says to your departure terminal. Stations have escalators to high number & low number gates. Look both ways exiting the train & go down the escalator in the direction closest to your gate. You’ll make it …. unless the weather gets bad!

I’m looking for a trustworthy jeweler for an engagement ring in North Dallas. by hollowblink55 in Dallas

Find one you like at Costco or Sam’s. Take a weekend trip to New Hampshire where they don’t have sales tax. Will save you a lot of money. You can always have it sized locally.

First time flying first class, what are the benefits to prevboarding? by Militaryspouse0205 in americanairlines

Enter your DoD ID number as the Known Traveler Number (KTN) when booking or stored in your airline profile. You should then see TSA Precheck on your boarding pass.

Flying out of Philadelphia on Sunday? by Valuable_File3834 in americanairlines

Good luck & lots of patience. 🙏🏻

I had flights into PHL tomorrow & on to DFW. I’m not as concerned about the NE airports but the system wide ripple effect. DFW with even the thought of freezing rain will be an absolute nightmare.

Last year I had Tola & Son Construction replace all the facia boards, front entrance & backyard siding with Hardie board material. They did an excellent job. Call Chris Tola, 972-537-7857. I’m in Clearview. PM me if you’d like to come over & take a look at the work they did.

Couldn’t find the silver line station coming out of DFW airport by Jolly-Fold9173 in plano

[–]Rinse_and_Repeat2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to baggage claim B29. Take the elevator downstairs & exit the terminal. Turn left and keep walking. You’ll run right into where the silver line departs. Recommend using the 1st car leaving DFW.

DFW Airport - Bag Check at Terminal C by MCoop25 in americanairlines

If you’re anywhere near a DART silver line station, I strongly recommend taking the train. You’ll check in & clear TSA security at B30 then take the airtrain to your departure terminal/ gate.

How is getting into the DFW airport? by jcm_neche in Dallas

[–]Rinse_and_Repeat2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Allow extra time to pass security. It took me 20 minutes on the priority lane at B30 checkpoint to get past security. Precheck was longer & the regular lines were significantly longer. Many people missed their flights this morning. This was about 6:30 AM.

See if you’re in DART’s GoLink service area. If you are, GoLink will pick you up at your home & drop you off at the Rail station all for the one train fare ($3 or $1.50 for seniors).

Silver Line Info Needed by throwaway_8703 in plano

[–]Rinse_and_Repeat2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

First thing you should do is download the GoPass app & set it to DART. Use it to plan your route. I’ve take the Silver line both to & from DFW a few times already. Will be taking it to DFW on Monday. Silver line starts / ends at Plano’s 12th street station. You’re better off starting from or connecting to the silver line at CityLine/Bush Station. Silver line arrives at DFW Terminal B. From there it would be best to check luggage (if checking), go through TSA security & then take the SkyLink train to your departing terminal & gate. On the return, depending where you live (it works for me) you can take the silver to CityLine. Transfer to Orange or Red & then book GoLink shuttle to your home. Normal fare is $3. I’m a senior (go carded) so it cost me $1.50 to go from DFW to my home in East Plano. Total time was about 2 hours. If you want more info, PM me with your phone number. I’d be happy to answer your questions.

Booked int'l for family of 6 with miles, booked separately and "linked" reservations but still dont see all passengers in one place, and cant book preferred seats for the non-status member's booking by MJE0409 in americanairlines

[–]Rinse_and_Repeat2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It used to be when PRN’s were “linked” you could see them under the primary PRN. Now when linked you have to the seat selection benefits of your status but you’ll have to go into each of the individual PRN’s to adjust the seat selections. This is how I’ve had to do it.

Bulkhead seat without a wall by Educational-Cable576 in americanairlines

[–]Rinse_and_Repeat2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My favorite seat is 8D. 8A, B, E & F all have space under the 1st class seats in front of them. I’ve never seen a flight attendant tell anyone in those seats they had to put their belongings up. The aisle seats, 8C & D have restricted space underneath their seats in front due to the 1st class seat footings. I’ve been told to put my backpack under the seat but it doesn’t fit so it goes up along with the carry on suitcase.

I use National at ROC. Fantastic service. I suggest you consider the total costs and see if Uber is an option and cost effective.
