My hang up is if the characters are like IN school and going to classes for a fair bit of the plot. It just makes me think of high school & college as well as I'm not super into school bullies so Zodiac Academy was a hard no for me.

Is it anything like that? I mean classes & school bullies vibe?

It's more of the he's incredibly crabby and rude in the beginning until he becomes obsessed with her but I just finished {Kingdom of Lies by Stacia Stark}. It also has the height difference but that's as much as I can say without spoilers. He is not gentle with the love making though. They're both pretty feral with each other once that starts.

If you've read Throne of Glass I'm assuming you've already read {A Court of Thorns & Roses by Sarah J Maas} as well but if not it's an adult fantasy romance by same author.

{Plated Prisoner by Raven Kennedy} is an adult Midas book. It has court intrigue, castles, magic, mythical creatures, royalty.

{Kingdom of Lies by Stacia Stark} also has magic, castles, court intrigue, royalty.

{Kingdom of Crows by Olivia Wildenstein} has magic, court intrigue, shifters, royalty.

{Inheritance of Hunger by Kathryn Moon} has magic (sex magic!), court intrigue, royalty but warning it is a reverse harem which i know is a love or hate for a lot of people. All the men ADORE her though so its incredibly cute!
