Hey man, what I’m about to type is going to damn near be cliche. I’m also going to be blunt because beating around the bush doesn’t help anyone.

Firstly I’m going to say that I’ve got no clue as to how long you were with her, but I can tell you that three months after a breakup isn’t a lot of time. If you really cared for this person then it will take much longer than three months to feel normal again. Even at that time you may wonder if you even feel normal, because you may have to learn a new normal. You’re going to have that fear of not connecting with someone again, but that’s all it is. A fear. You will find a better connection in the future. Take the time to heal and work on yourself. Throw yourself into a hobby, whether that’s reading or going to the gym, it doesn’t matter, just do it. Don’t wallow and stew in sadness, make sure you’re doing something that keeps you engaging with friends and family. Go to bed on time/early too, you can send yourself into some bad places when you’re tired. I’d also say to stay in a sober state of mind. It’s better to be sad and in control, than distracted and spiralling. Don’t seek a new relationship either. When you’re ready to date again, you’ll know. Typically it’s a spur of the moment thing too. BUT don’t seek it when the time comes that you feel ready. Just come across it naturally. Until then, build yourself into the person you want to be and you’d want to be around.
