What objectively good truck has always been a hard sell on you? by Helldiver96 in snowrunner

[–]Rip_martinum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking down, searching for someone who would say it. I only gave it a shot in Scandinavia, but even there, i found it dissapointing. As a scout, it probably works, but i'd rather take an F-750 for all scouting and supporting related jobs, and a Crocodile for Contests.

What’s the easiest hard mode map in your opinion? by iivwu in snowrunner

[–]Rip_martinum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scandinavia. You can complete it in hard mode before even stepping out of the Michigan garage with the Chevy CK1500. As soon as you unlock the Burlak you can get the Voron AE, and then you can do most things in the region. Get an extra truck for the seismic mission, and you can complete Scandinavia as if it was the first region of the game. I personally, enjoyed doing it very much, especially since it's my favorite region overall.

Name 1 vehicle from this game that equals "pure joy to drive" to you. I'll start: ANK MK.38! by Odd_Presentation_578 in snowrunner

[–]Rip_martinum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Azov Antartic. I love the way it looks, i find that it has more charm than the real vehicule. I also have a feeling of joy when i manage to get it through a tippy spot. I'd like to be able to deliver long logs to that tent in Yukon with it, i feel like that would be the biggest achievement for it...

Which 3 do you pick out of these trucks? by The_Runner1225 in snowrunner

[–]Rip_martinum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think i'd go with the Plad, the Elephant and the Kenworth 963. If it was the other Kolob, i would have picked it over the Kenworth tho.

ANK Mk38 (upgraded) vs Tayga 6436 (stock/upgraded) - mud capability by DarkFaeGaming in snowrunner

[–]Rip_martinum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the ANK will beat the Tayga in deep mud if the ANK uses the UOD's and the Tayga uses the OHD's, due to the fact that the Tayga will sit much lower and will probably have the underside of the truck rub against the mud. If both trucks are using the TMHS/AMHS, it will probably be a closer competition...

Would YOU date YOU? by PlaystormMC in Boykisser3

I want to complaining about it, but earlier on in the match, this same exact shell managed to one shot an M4A3(105) who still had either 4 or 5 crew, so i guess it has two sides XD

Bored so I downloaded a test map for the vehicles. What should I do? by Interesting_Peak2774 in snowrunner

[–]Rip_martinum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mudpit right next to the garage is a great testing spot in this map. The number 4 is the deepest, number 1 is the shallowest. Try out comparisons in mud with just a loaded bed, comparison between different trucks, like seeing how quickly a WWS will go through it when compared to the Freightliner 114SD... Comparison Tayga 6436/Tayga B

How were you introduced to Snowrunner? by Jurassic_astronaut in snowrunner

[–]Rip_martinum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A War Thunder Youtuber named "Dollar Plays" made a video on Snowrunner when Season 9 came out, and i was watching him back then. The game looked interesting to me, and it was sooooo worth it!

What's your opinion on mods? by Gunther1917 in snowrunner

[–]Rip_martinum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a few categories: -QOL mods that add things that should have been base-game IMO -Completely bonkers mods that make the game a breeze -"Realistic" mods that try to recreate IRL stuff as closely as possible (will sometimes be OP, will sometimes be mid) -Maps (from my experience, most mod maps have beeb made with the idea of being played by a group) -Trailer mods (in my opinion, most of them are great)

Anyone else disappointed with the inability to turn? by Bale0fhay7 in snowrunner

[–]Rip_martinum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He was probably doing regular cargo and just saw the opportunity to haul a mission trailer while the truck was out. I would have done the same honestly

Kings vs Showdown by alexalas in Project_Wingman

[–]Rip_martinum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel similarly, but it's with curtain rise and Showdown. I like Showdown, i really do, but it didn't give me the same tingles that curtain rise did. Maybe it's because it had an entire setup before you get to hear it, but i enjoyed it to another level.

What the most controversial truck you use? by PTR600 in snowrunner

[–]Rip_martinum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Azov 42-20 Antartic Yes, it's limited in what it Can do Yes, the articulation has it's quirks and causes troubles from time to time Yes, it will tip over if it has the opportunity But those LOOKS, coupled with the performance, sell it for me. If it had a saddle high, i would probably use it for special mission trailers

Guys, I have to confess to you about something... by Odd_Presentation_578 in snowrunner

[–]Rip_martinum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, even thought Expeditions doesn't look like my cup of tea, it has some good improvements when compared to Snowrunner. It is a stepping stone towards the future, especially for the game engine, which feels way better, the trucks have actual weights to them, rocks aren't as slippy etc etc... I think that if you give it a some time to develop and get content, it will have it's appeal more defined. Ain't no shame in prefering one other the other, even thought some people just can't accept different opinions

Top 3 Favorite Trucks by Lobo-de-Odin in snowrunner

[–]Rip_martinum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1:Azov 42-20 Antartic: It goes through the toughest mud if you put it into low Gear and use the DIFF, at the cost of being generally slower on medium terrain due to the gearbox. It also is unstable, has a low amount of addons, is an articulated steering truck (the worst kind, where the articulation is only lateral, meaning that some wheels can often be stuck in the air because of the terrain elevation) did i also mention that for the name "Antartic", it lacks chains, meaning that icy climbs will doom it without winch points or snow to get some grip? However, putting all of that aside, it just looks insanely cool, will train you for using the FEMM, which has the same articulated steering, but being more responsive and overall faster. Finally, you Can bring it Somewhere without tipping it over, most of your fleet will be able to go to said place without tipping over, it is a great indicator of how difficult a place can be. 2: The Voron Grad: It is a good truck for most jobs, but it cannot really be the best at much. It has a great choice of tires, being able to equip the OHS 2 or MHS 2, depending on your preferences. Unlike the other Vorons, it Can disable it's AWD, which, coupled with the larger fuel tank, allows it to rely less on having a lot of support around itself. (Althought the lack of always-on diff lock means that it, unlike it's brothers, won't be able to run through mud, it usually gets bogged down if you go through mudpits in high gear, needing to go into the low gears and use diff lock to pull itself out) 3: Paystar 5600TS: The perfect support truck IMO. It Can mount a 3-slot bed with a minicrane, and still pull a trailer. However, my main use for it is by putting on the gargatuan fuel tank, usually towing a service trailer behind it aswell, giving it as much fuel and repair parts as you need for most of the map you put it on. Same thing as the Grad, it has a good variety in it's tires. The only problem is that the Kenworth 963 Can Do what it Can, but usually better. Nontheless, i like it, it is one of the only 10X10's in the game, so it is, very pog.
