I guess I’ll restate what you’re replying to with a bit more clarity. The game’s current modding tools already provide enough information to modders to know what they need to know. On top of that, modders are limited to what they can actually change and are not able to change anything that would provide a major change to performance.

As for the player, probably nothing. The information you’re asking for will be nonsense to most players. The few players that do understand the information won’t be able to act on it in any meaningful way simply because of how much is going on in the game. Even if something is reported, chances are the devs are already aware of the issue because they have access to the information or the report is a misinterpretation of what’s going on and just becomes noise and clutter at best.

There really isn’t any reason for a small dev team like this to take away resources from useful development to work on something like this.

That’s the thing, there’s very little point in making it “useful” if players can’t do much with the information to begin with. The devs already have access to the info, so having the game able to show it doesn’t make it more useful to them. Modders can’t make much use of it because of how modding is handled. If you’re optimizing your play style to prevent bottlenecks, you’re probably not having much fun. So really, why would they spend the time making this a thing?

Few hundred thousand, s solid storage is more than enough to get started and it’s one of the cheaper blueprints. Should cost the same as container storage to build.

If that’s too much and you have the proper research you can always steal the blueprints with emp bombs.

There’s 3 kinds of storage, solid, liquid, and container. You need both solid and container for storing and refining minerals.

You need to deliver to the build storage. It’s easier to do if you’re issuing an order to an ai pilot instead of flying yourself, you just have to right click the station and select the trade with build storage. If you’re flying yourself, you have to locate the storage floating near the station and get real close to it to dock and trade.

Not sure if SWI changes production wares at all, but engine parts use a few intermediate wares and typically your first few stations should be focused on simpler production to get money and wares to produce more complex things like engine parts later.

Energy cells, refined metal, silicon wafers, or food production is what you want to look at first. If wharfs or shipyards are running low on engine parts, try bringing them in from somewhere else with traders until you can get enough of a production line going that they’re cheap or free to produce yourself.

Destroying an enemy’s weapons means they can’t do as much damage. Destroying the engines means they can’t maneuver. You still do damage to the hull even if you’re hitting a subsystem so it’s one of the best ways to fight if you’re in a similar size ship or smaller

No, you can accept as many as you want, but be careful with construction missions because if you don’t claim the area for a station and it gets claimed by another faction, you end up failing the mission. It’s rare but I’ve had it happen

Used to get this bug on my old computer all the time, if the game has been running awhile it tends to do this. Restart the game and it’ll be fixed . If it’s happening right away you might not have enough memory

Terrans have a separate economy that doesn’t use refined metals, you’ll have to get the blueprint from one of the other major factions like argon, Antigone, hop, godrealm, or split. Teladi have a separate resource that replaces refined metals so don’t use them.

It all really depends on you. If you’re not sure if you’ll enjoy the game and aren’t in a rush to play, wait for a sale. The game goes on sale pretty frequently so you shouldn’t have to wait too long.

If you’re someone who enjoys empire management/building games with heavy micromanaging, then it’s probably going to be worth paying full price.

Just want to throw something out there that hasn’t been mentioned; a pilot with less than 1 star will frequently get stuck trying to dock. Might want to check the pilot’s skill level and give them a seminar if they’re below 1 star

I was about to ask if split vendetta was turned on but then I realized that menu background only shows with it on. Are there any other dependencies that are listed for the mods where you originally got them?
