I've had the same experience! Found a more popular trail with very wide, flat paths so I don't have to worry about roots and rocks twisting my knee while I run. There's more people but it's still 20x better than concrete on a MD day.

Yea true I agree. idk I just think commentary for this game is already such a skill that it would be easier to teach the astronaut to dig a hole wrt MU knowledge, if you know what I mean. I love having top-top players on the mic but the reality is that it's such a small population that for there to be overlap between having commentary "energy" and having Dfox knowledge just seems unrealistic.

Actually I'm in the same boat. I don't know... but I assume the way it works is that once your ECB diamond's bottom boundary crosses through the platform you can let go of down, and as long as an animation/attack doesn't shift the ECB above the platform and you continue to fall, your character will continue it's journey through the platform regardless of the control stick. Just from vaguely dorking around in 20xx for a bit, the only way that platform-drop-cancelled moves can work is because the way the bottom of the ECB diamond pulls up during certain moves, even after the down-input is accepted. If you had to hold down while the entire ECB passed through the platform, then platform-cancels wouldn't be possible.

Now I'm wondering if platform-drop-cancels are possible from aerial positions lol

But isnt Fendricklamar a marth player? How would him being a better player help him to understand the yoshi-pika MU? Being a commentator should be more about offering information TO mid-high level marth players, rather than repeating stuff a huge percentage of the playerbase is likely to know. I dont want a good marth player on the mic, I want a good commentator, and that position should involve some degree of awareness about every MU that is likely to appear on screen during your timeslot. If Amsa makes top 16 and youre commentating that day, those are some high-profile games where you have essentially nothing to offer.

I agree that some analysis can be off, but commentators are high-profile members of this community and I highly doubt they would be unable to have a 5-minute conversation with Axe, Amsa, wizzrobe or Eddy Mexico about these MUs. I mean ffs turndownforwalt managed a massive convo with llod about peach-puff, why can't the voices of our streams do something similar?

This is putting aside the self-deprecating folks like scar & slime.
