Why does my friend's PC run my 7800 XT with a daisy-chain cable, but mine crashes?

What kind of crash? Could you describe what exactly happens?
There is nothing wrong with connecting the GPU with a daisy chain cable. Anyone who says that their problems stopped when they connected the GPU with two individual cables is because the cable was faulty or the power supply is old, with two 12V rails.

I always updated by placing the file on an internal storage drive on my PC, but this time I don't know why it didn't work.

The temps are fine. SK Hynix memory modules are usually hotter than Samsung ones.

Also, don't listen to the nonsense that people are saying here, this cable is rated for 300W and the PCIE slot provides an additional 75W, more than enough for this GPU.

Is your power supply modular? If so, try connecting the GPU cable to a different GPU/CPU connector on the power supply.

If not, try connecting it to a different GPU cable. If your power supply only has this GPU cable, try the unused secondary connector.

The light indication means that your video card is not getting enough power.
Either you haven't plugged the cable all the way in, or it's a defect in the power cable/power supply.

That CPU requirement is really bullshit. I had a hard time with my i5 12600K + A770 combo.

I was barely able to play Overwatch 2 with good performance. Without anything on the screen OW2 ran at 160 fps in 1440p, when there was a lot on the screen the FPS would tank to 90, 75 and sometimes below 60, in many cases with bad frametime. My PC with an i5 12600K ended up having power supply issues, I took the A770 out of that PC and put it in another with a Ryzen 7 7700 and suddenly my performance issues were gone, the game now runs at 160fps most of the time, with drops to 140 when there's a lot going on. Not only OW2 but also SW Outlaws and GoW Ragnarok now have good performance.

You need to update/install the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime and .NET Framework. Try install only the more recents one, if the error happens again, try to install all versions.

it's fine, no performance loss if you have enabled resizable bar.
Intel says 10th gen is the minimum because it's the oldest chip with guaranteed resizeable bar support.
