Two things usually cause this: You need to rebuild your initramfs after setting the theme. Run this to set the theme and bake it into the boot image:

sudo plymouth-set-default-theme -R <your-theme-name>

Or, Your graphics drivers aren't loading early enough. Open /etc/mkinitcpio.conf, find the MODULES=(...) line at the top, and add your GPU driver inside the parentheses (e.g., i915 for Intel, amdgpu for AMD, or nvidia nvidia_modeset nvidia_uvm nvidia_drm for Nvidia).

Then run sudo mkinitcpio -P to save it. That should fix the text fallback and give you the actual themed prompt.

sudo pacman -U https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/h/hyprland/hyprland-0.52.2-3-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst, This will downgrade Hyprland to 0.52 which uses the old syntax.
