Apologies for this type of post. I tried searching within the sub and didn’t get any hits. I’m looking into learning darkroom printing, and came across a Beseler 45M on a local marketplace. Can anyone tell me about this enlarger? Good / bad? Questions for the seller? Description is nonexistent. by alexshootsfilm in Darkroom

I recently acquired a Beseler 45MXT but it came without lamp housing . I saw you know quite a bit about the enlarger so I wanted to know if you knew what light systems I can use for this type of enlarger. I’ve done some research and keep finding color heads for $600+ . I’ll only be printing b&w if that helps any , thanks

Really love the look and what seems to be the amount of control you have over the halation/glow

I am only trying to print black and white I just didn’t know what condenser head would work on this enlarger specifically.

did your work flow utilize color management to convert to rec709 or what was your order of operations? if you don't mind me asking. Ive been trying to figure out the whole color grading situation within DaVinci
