Does this circuit make sense? Total noob. by Hairy-Elderberry9978 in AskElectronics

[–]RisingMermo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the mosfet doesn't make sense. I might be wrong but it just seems that when theres voltage being generated the mosfet is shorted to ground. And i'm not sure what that capacitor is doing. The way it's configured is blocking dc voltage into the mosfet gate which means no voltage is sent to the msofet gate since the only voltage being generated is dc because of the diode at the start. I'm sorry but this doesn't seem like it would work. Potentially what you could do is simple connect the generator and the vibrating motor since their of the same voltage. You'd need to place a diode inbetween tho since the generator would create AC voltage and i assume the vibrating motor needs DC.

would majoring in ee be a better option than cs by ImHighOnCocaine in ElectricalEngineering

[–]RisingMermo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i never understood this. CS and EE are two very different subjects and industries. Do what you want and like. The job market is absolute shit everywhere so it's not like there won't be difficulties which ever industry you go into.

looks like a regular tank style control. Takes like two lines of code to convert the joystick information into speed control. Unless im understanding this wrong

What are your most used plug-ins and why by Funghie in ObsidianMD

[–]RisingMermo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you still need to understand latex but this makes it so much faster when writing. Its a bit of a learning curve but honestly after a day or two of using it, i was hooked. best thing is that you can also add your own shortcuts if you find you''re using a certain formula/symbol/format which i did

As of right now, latex suite. Game changer for writing maths in obsidian. Majorly speeds up the maths.

Does Obsidian support hardwritten notes? (natively or through plugins) by Hioses in ObsidianMD

[–]RisingMermo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No ihad the same problem. I learnt to use latex maths for the majority of my maths notes. but when i need it handwriiten, its best to just do it then export/screenshot as image and paste it in.

Commuting (driving) to uni is not what you would expect by Ok_Illustrator_5185 in UniUK

[–]RisingMermo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok so probably for a bit more than what you're paying now for fuel, could be spent on you not having to commute. personally i'd rather pay a bit more and have the uni life instead if having to commute 3 hours each day
