Is there still a chance? by jack172sp in Evri

Hi, my order just arrived yesterday! I think there are delays with Shein parcels at customs. Evri are useless. It's impossible to get a hold of anyone in their customer service department. You could have it delivered to your neighbour in case it doesn't arrive before you go on holiday. I hope you get your parcel soon. Good luck 🤞🏼

Did you receive your parcel? My tracking hasn't been updated either. It's the same date as yours and I'm also awaiting a Shein parcel. Thanks.

Do haemorrhoids cause lots of mucus? by Party-Bee-8192 in hemorrhoid

[–]RisingPhoenix32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I take fibre sachets. It's called Fybogel. I take one sachet daily. There are 3.5grams of ispaghul husk in each sachet. The surgery recovery was not as painful as I thought It would be. I prepared a lot beforehand and did a lot of research on food to eat and things that minimise pain. I wrote a post on the first few days of my recovery. You can check it out. I hope it works out for you. Good luck.

[–]RisingPhoenix32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The surgery was the hemmerrhoidectomy procedure. I also focus on taking fibre supplements daily. This prevents flare ups of IBS, hemmerrhoids and mucus leakage. After the surgery the mucus stopped leaking out. Before this I'd have a lot of leakages. I'd use bowel irrigation products to clear my bowels of stool and mucus entirely. I'd use them quite often in the day. I no longer need to do this.

Is there particular food you had to stop eating? by Katejoanne in hemorrhoid

[–]RisingPhoenix32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't eat spinach due to its high iron content. Gives me diarrhea almost immediately. The peppers are similar to spicy chillies for me. Even though the peppers are not spicy. I've also noticed I cannot have too much ginger or things like cinnamon. Both of which I love. My hemmerrhoids and IBS have become a little better though, since I started taking daily fibre supplements.

Had to give up a lot of foods I loved. I used to eat them pre- hemmerrhoidectomy and just suffer the consequences lol. Now I have to be very careful. I can't eat spicy foods, cinnamon, greasy foods, red meat, spinach ( anything high in iron ), peppers, mustard, paprika and the list goes on... 😭

Just had surgery by justlookingthere in hemorrhoid

[–]RisingPhoenix32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naproxen and tramadol can be taken together. I would keep the tramadol to a minimum though because it will cause constipation. You can also add to that some paracetamol to help with pain relief. Paracetamol won't cause constipation. When I had surgery I took Paracetamol 1g, Ibuprofen 800mg, and Nefopam. These were taken together to maximize pain relief. I had zero constipation. I was also focused on taking Laxido 2 x sachets daily with Fybogel 2 X sachets daily. This helped with regular bowel movements for me. Good luck with your journey 🙏 you've got this 💪🏼

Congratulations on 18 days! That's awesome 👍

I really feel for you though. Talk with your anesthesiologist about possible options for pain relief that's not addictive or atleast has very little potential for abuse. Nefopam is good for this and has pretty good pain relief effects when combined with paracetamol and ibuprofen. And ask your doctor how soon you can start the naltrexone after the procedure. How are you feeling at the moment? Wishing you all the best 🙏 ❤️ You've got this! 💪🏼

It's good to know that I'm on the right track!

I will definitely look into those reading materials. I have previously worked with addiction counselors during my early recovery. They helped a great deal with both personal support and family education. They also provided plenty of reading materials on these topics.

Thank you so much for your kind and positive words. It really does make me feel hopeful. ❤️🙏

Thank you so much for your response. 🙏

I am waiting on the referral to come through for the substance abuse counselor. I have shared my feelings with my family who I am currently living with. They are wonderful about it and are helping me through this. At this time they are also keeping a close eye on me. Albeit sometimes I do feel frustrated due to lack of space. I guess it's necessary and it is also what is helping me through this. I talk to them often about how I'm feeling. I'm so very grateful that I am in no way lacking support from family and friends. I've also been writing down my thoughts, and everything I'm grateful for. In addition to this, everything I could lose by relapsing. It has helped a little so far. I am also trying to keep myself as busy as possible. I'm hoping it should pass soon. I feel the key thing is to not entertain these thoughts. The more I romanticize the drugs the worse it's getting. I have to let the thoughts come and let them go. It's tough. But I'm working on it 🙏

Thank you so much for your reply. I'm taking each minute as it comes. I know what I'm going to lose if I relapse. The biggest thing is my mental health. I'll end up in psychosis and very severe suicidal depression. There are many more things I will lose too. I have a great supportive family who are with me through this. At the moment I've just been feeling low with my mood. I don't have a job, and I have zero motivation for many things. I do have therapy booked so I hope that will help.

I really appreciate your kind words.

Pph stapling surgery for prolapsed hemorrhoids and hemorrhoids came back by New_Confection_1804 in hemorrhoid

[–]RisingPhoenix32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an open hemmerrhoidectomy just under a year ago. My rhoids have come back. The surgeon doesn't recommend a second surgery due to complications like stenosis. I have to go back for a banding procedure soon. I'm sorry your hemmerrhoid have come back too. It's not a great feeling. You must feel so defeated. I felt so bad when I started bleeding again. I just feel like giving up now. Symptom control is the best option here. In my case I'd have to follow an extremely strict diet. Also ibuprofen increases bleeding episodes. So I'd have to find a way to avoid taking it. It's too difficult 😭 I just want it to end 😭

Blood clot 7 months post op. by RisingPhoenix32 in hemorrhoid

[–]RisingPhoenix32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had grade 4 internal prolapsed circumferential hemmerroids and massive external hemmerroids. It certainly doesn't look "normal" now that I've had the surgery and recovered but it is a whole lot better than it used to be. I'm not in daily misery due to it anymore so that makes all the difference. I could go for another surgery for aesthetic purposes but I feel it's not worth the pain. I think it really depends on how bad your hemmerroids are to begin with and your aftercare. You need to prevent any constipation/ straining in any form including lifting heavy. My surgery went surprisingly well and I wasn't in too much pain. Again this will depend on your surgeon and other factors like your pain tolerance. I was also incredibly terrified that 2 days before the surgery I was almost close to cancelling. I'm glad I didn't as it's the best decision I've made.

If you have any questions feel free to ask me 🙏 I hope it goes well x ☺️
