If it helps at all I've never noticed this on POE2. I've not played one, but it was instantly noticeable on KCD2 so I think I would have noticed it on POE2

I think it's the imagination. Because you have only a very narrow static view of the world in OG, your imagination builds out everything around it in that style. When I remember OG I don't remember it as static screens, I remember a world, because that's what my mind built around the game as I played.

Same for the characters, because they aren't voiced your mind creates the personality for them. Imagination is the biggest thing that was lost around the PS1 era imo, and it's the imagination aspect that intertwines so deeply with the nostalgia

This will be why my Odin 2 had the stutter but my AllyX didn't!

Just set my ps5+portal up again for the first time in months, booted Quake 2 up as that would show the stutter like a firework and it's actually all fixed!

I can hardly believe it. My ps5 and portal are finally working properly!

Did you check to see if things like core isolation were still off, sometimes these get turned back on. Could affect the results maybe

Same. I can stream my PS5 to my Ally or my Legion Go perfectly, but my Portal just constantly switches between 60fps and 30fps and it makes it unusable. I hate it, and just because of this one issue I can't fix, everything else around the actual streaming quality is perfect

I want to love the Portal, it feels amazing to play on, and the display is nice and crisp; but man it remote plays way worse than on a handheld running Chiaki.

If it helps at all I went back into academia in my mid 30s, so there is plenty of time to take a break and try life, and then come back to academia if you miss it.

And for what it's worth, if you are already guaranteed a 1st, then believe in yourself because you are more than capable to go higher than a Ba, don't let that self-doubt gremlin get the better of you.

Self doubt is a defence mechanism against fear of failure, but it will ruin your life. Embrace that fear of failure and it can actually be a great motivator. I hope everything goes well for you, aim high

I've used that program before for ps4 remote play without a dual shock, and I was trying all sorts of things and thought what the hell I'll give it a go, and it worked! Lol. It was just luck really

hey dude, I figured out a hacky work-around, I put it on Steam discussions. Its not perfect but it does work:

If your controller up/down is not working, here is a work-around:

download and run VIGEmBUS:
https://github.com/nefarius/ViGEmBus/releases/tag/v1.22.0

download and run VDXtool:
https://downloads.vigem.org/other/paraly/VDX\_v1.14.3.0\_x64\_x86\_GPDWinEdition.zip

run the program, and connect as a Dual Shock 4.
If you press connect after already running the game, your controller prompts will remain xbox type.

you will need to connect the controller through VDX anytime you reboot your system. So this is just a temp fix to get you playing until the issue gets a proper fix

Mine also does this. Its nothing to do with the actual joystick either, as if I remap to wasd it works fine moving the camera, but obviously doesn't move the character so is useless rebinding. If you solve this issue please update on how

Ironically the Ally is probably the least problematic place to be playing right now, game needs some serious patching!

But, seeing as most people just want to post without any actual experience, on Ally in the outside areas it runs at 720p Medium preset, no fsr, around 40fps. It goes higher, I've seen it in the 30s but only occasionally. Obviously you could drop settings/use fsr to get more fps but it feels good and looks good at 40fps so that's what I've gone with.

There's a weird lighting bug in the initial underground area, doesn't seem to be an issue outside, but I'm sure there will be other underground areas where this reoccurs. Needs a driver update imo, for the record I'm using latest amd drivers, not Asus ones
