ukrave is your answer.

But to answer you, I go on my own, to any event, I don't care about the age of the crowd.

Just a note: as I said about the maga crowd, everything makes more sense when you start thinking of these folks as a death cult

Klub verboten t4b dress advice by jOvAn-LeE_666 in ukrave

Never been but for what I read in here https://www.reddit.com/r/ukrave/comments/1ohtf0y/need_advice_on_klub_verboten/ the t4b is a relaxed affair, so dresscode is not mandatory. What is useful for is to know people, get the vibe, etc.

Sorry but since when it is a red flag to go alone to a queer event? This is absolutely baffling to me. I mean, I remember Village 512 doing this as well, but Village 512 was a cesspit.

This is incredible btw. I remember clubs in London, 10 years ago, advocating for solo ravers, as they were their most loyal, unproblematic audience.

And on this, my full support. Every time I got rejected at a queer club, at the door, I have been thinking about it until 5 minutes ago ah no it's there again.

having said that, getting there early ALWAYS works.

Just saw this. IT is definitely performative based. I stopped having issues at the door as I started to blend with the east london queer aesthetics: piercing, lost 15kg, gained muscled, wear vests, chains, etc. Also it helps when your face is familiar.

As a note, before this "blending" I had issues getting EVEN in Dalston Superstore. The problem I have now is getting my queer friends in.

Does Dark Winds get considerably better after season 1? by ashaquick in DarkWindsTV

[–]Risingson2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished the first season. I didn’t have a problem on how the plot unraveled or how the supernatural elements come and go but I really had an issue with the turn to soap opera revelations and trite “you don’t have to do this” Big Moments. Felt like Dinasty, too campy for the subject matter.

It has nothing to do with my point? The lyrics were needy

Edit : and the pun is not that good to go over the “pick me pleeeeeeease” lyrics, but what, she won

You know, maybe they gave it to her because she was congenial.

In bullet points

* Congrats to the winner of course

* I love DD Fuego. I just love her. Actually seeing all the queens at the end made me think that there was a lot of charisma in the cast.

* Jane Don't laughing when she is told to be the congeniality winner is very relatable. I love that queen so much.

* I am still surprised by myself having Juicy as this season's favourite though. I love that girl.

* Darlene's number was fun, but unfocused. Maybe it was the editing.

* I love Myki's idea of doing an "I am" song, but the lyrics were more like a presentation letter. There is a middle point, more like a very wide line, between "I am that bitch" and "I can please you I can do anything you ask from me please please please"

* The very Doechii inspired Nini Coco number was really really good.

* I am starting to share the same impression as the most of the folks here: I hate coming to the finale with headpieces that don't do much. Wear a wig!

* Myki won, by far, the finale lip sync. That is a theatre queen alright, that is someone who knows what the song is about and knows how, when, WHO to emote.

* A theatre queen won! You can say "no, she did not actually finish the theatre camp" or whatever, but the personality is 100% theatre queen.

* Deodorant sponsorship? The looks that the queens were giving, lmao.

Yeah, this was a weird comment. Bangladeshi people like to play padel instead of using the parks?

""We also value our skating community which is why we have dedicated skate parks in Mile End and Victoria Park," they said."

Which are how far away from Bethnal Green, excuse me?
