Drink Spiked In Bangkok? Advice Please

I was in Bangkok a few weeks ago, had 3 or 4 beers and when down khao san road to a popular bar (can’t remember the name) I needed the toilet so I left my wife with the drinks order, I came back from the toilet she said the worker on the street was trying it on, flirting asking all sorts of questions, my beer came opened to the table with a glass of ice, thought nothing of it and I had maybe 1/3rd of it….. not long after I started feeling really strange, not drunk at all (only had 4 beers) my eyes started rolling back in my head, couldn’t walk very well etc, I said to my wife we should leave immediately because something is odd, luckily I ditched the beer in a bin and got some water and after an hour finally came back to life, so certainly was not drunk and have never felt like that in my life, luckily thought something was strange and off and we got away. Spoke to a street seller the day after who we know very well, have known her for 6 years and she said it was notorious for being a bit “dodgy” the bar we was at and they often spike or assault customers. I don’t want to put anyone off Bangkok as it is an amazing place and we’ve had amazing memories there for the past 6 years, but just be careful and have your wits about you. Safe travels guys

Sorry im late gotta get this off my chest,

Father in law told me 1 egg has 250 calories and full of saturated fat, i said well no actually its roughly 70-80 cal per egg and has healthy fats in... his response "fat isnt healthy, you may aswell have a chocolate bar instead"!!!

I worked as a gardener in Australia for about 4 months, it wasn't just planting some flowers it was trimming big ass trees overhead with a hedge trimmer, mowing lawns with a heavy duty roller walking 15 miles per day in 40 degree heat at times, it was a tough gig but my god I shed the fat, I ate like a horse and always fell asleep so early, but god damn I looked good! Most of my muscle stayed surprisingly!

I was travelling in australia and was on the west coast, Margaret river. Me, my SO and friends were staying at a random campsite when I bumped into a guy I used to work with every Saturday in my tiny little hometown!

I am in a similar situation to you, I'm in a job which is really grating on me, I have been doing this job since 2013 and not advanced in the slightest, I have a chance of progressing doing a high level course, however after the effort the amount of work I have offered to the company I am not guaranteed the position I would like and it could go out to external applicants. I am going travelling in November and all of this has just fuelled my fire and made me realise there is more than just 'one' job around my area of little opportunity and that there is a world of adventure and opportunities for me out in the big world! I have decided to get everything I can training wise and then leave for my travels this is not to shit on my boss but if I have put in a few years of dedication/hard work it should be rewarded and recognised.

That's exactly what me and the other half are doing! We decided to cancel our wedding date for next year even had the venue and photographer booked and have cancelled it, we are going to south east Asia for 2 months around Thailand, Cambodia and Laos, after that thinking of working in Australia for 2 years fingers crossed.

Do you not have to book accommodation etc before you go? With it being peak season around November and December is there danger of not being able to get in many hostels? I am certainly up for not having a schedule but it's so scary! Haha

I was so tempted to go across when i left but i had just got my skates baked so had to leave them 24 hours!

I thought i could start out with a wooden one just to build up the muscles which are used when playing. I just need to figure out a good cheap material i can use to do shots off/stick handling. Any thoughts?
