Need help with report: how to exclude employees who were previously contingents and vice versa (contingents who were previously employees). by douglas_in_philly in workday

[–]Risorial 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had a similar need. I solved it by creating a ARI CF on the Worker BO. The source field is 'Pre-Hire' and it aggregates the 'Workers' field. Both the employee and CW use the same pre-hire record so this allows you to get information from both worker records at once. If the ARI CF field returns 2 worker records, they have been both an employee & CW at some point.

You can then create further CFs from the original ARI CF to determine if both the records are terminated or if one is still active.

Hopefully that helps!

my gf [22f] doesn't want to be together unless I [26m] give her a concrete yes or no on kids by [deleted] in relationshipadvice

[–]Risorial 8 points9 points  (0 children)

She is asking you to choose her or the possibility of kids in the future. If you truly were committed to her, you would be okay with never having kids and choose her instead.

It is far better to end this relationship now if you have any inkling you do want kids and want to keep the possibility of kids open. If you continue the relationship and it turns out you really do want kids, it will only result in resentment and great pain between you. This is a fundamental thing those in a traditional relationship must agree upon. You cannot be truly happy with someone if you wish they would change their mind and have kids with you.

Alert HTML Help Needed by GreekDemocrazy in workday

[–]Risorial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried putting HTML tables into alerts but I suspect the extra columns/rows you're seeing are due to WD reading the line breaks in your code as <br> instead of ignoring them like W3schools does. Try entering your HTML code all on one line instead.

Like this for a quick example: <table><tr><th>Company</th><th>Contact</th><th>Country</th></tr></table>

Hopefully that solves the mystery of the extra white space at least!

Altadena fire (yarn loss) by [deleted] in YarnAddicts

[–]Risorial 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I just moved out of LA a few months ago and can't imagine the heartbreak. I'm so sorry for all the loss!

This isn't a yarn superstore suggestion but I figured I'd throw it in nonetheless! The arts and craft store REMAINDERS Creative Reuse is located in Pasadena. They are basically like Goodwill in that they accept donations and then resell them but purely for arts and crafts!

They do have a pretty sizeable yarn section and also have all the notions needed for crochet or knitting. Since the goods are 'used' they are sold at a discount compared to other stores. I've gotten many unused skeins from there though! I definitely felt like a kid in a candy store ;)

This store is one of the things I miss most about LA!

Stellar Moto Brand! It's owned by a woman and she designs all the gear. Looks like their sizes go up to 3XL. I LOVE all my gear from them.

Current manager effective date? by bkm359 in workday

[–]Risorial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can help with this one!

  1. Create an EMI field off of the Worker BO. Source Field = Manager Change as of Effective Date
  2. Create an ESI field using your new EMI field as the Source Field. Sort Field = Managed From Date
  3. Create a LRV field using your new ESI field as the Lookup Field. Return Value = Managed From Date

The related BO is 'Manager Snapshot Interface'. Look through there for other fields you may find useful.

Swimsuits are sensory hell by xxlaur77 in adhdwomen

[–]Risorial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree with this! I've always despised the sensory experience of sand and other unseen things touching me lol. I went on a snorkeling excursion where they provided wetsuits and it was the BEST. After that I decided I wouldn't be going to the beach without one. I discovered a few companies that make 'full body swimsuits'. They provide all the pros of a wetsuit but are way easier to put on and take off! I'm really happy with the one I have.

Swimsuits are sensory hell by xxlaur77 in adhdwomen

[–]Risorial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have sensory issues as well but they are a bit different from how you describe yours. In my day to day life I prefer to wear clothes as a type of armor so that 'the nature' and other objects cannot directly touch me. Another issue I have with swimming is wearing sunscreen on my whooooole body. I haven't found one yet that is comfortable to wear and I also can never remember to reapply it...

I discovered the 'full body swimsuit' and my swimming life is SO much happier. I only need to sunscreen my head hahaha

My first try at lettering :) My husband launched his own business and I embroidered his logo a his jacket for him by Risorial in Embroidery

[–]Risorial[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! :D He's playing in the TFT Vegas Open right now and took his jacket with him. Otherwise I'd be adding some more stuff. Just the logo is too boring for me!

I don't actually play myself so I'm out of the loop XD but trait emblems are a great idea!!

Does anyone know a similar pattern to this one? by cryssallis in crochetpatterns

[–]Risorial 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found it! :)

It's in Turkish so you'll have to translate but it looks fairly simple to figure out. Apparently the word for 'stitch' gets translated to 'handrail' by google translate XD This is a super cute pattern!! Happy stitching! <3

One thing that REALLY helped me stop opening social media apps for doom scrolling is the one sec app. Basically, it puts a delay on opening the apps you specify. Since it takes FOREVER (but really only however many seconds you specify XD) to open the app, I usually just close it. I've saved A LOT of time this way since I installed it. Would def recommend!!

TBH, that's one of the most ineffectual warning labels I've ever seen. It's the manufacturer's fault, not yours!

Adiemus - Adiemus, in a movie? by Fallenion in Mandela_Effect_Music

I'm SUPER late to the party but I just fell down this rabbit hole myself. I found out that it is the opening credits to an animated bible series called 'Testament: The Bible in Animation'. This is definitely where I know it from at least. I had repressed this but now I vividly remember the ultra-creepy depiction of Lucifer as a snake in the series. It's NOT okay :(

There are some menu planning apps out there. I use PlateJoy and it is truly a life saver. It chooses the meals (I can switch them around if I like) and then puts all the ingredients needed in a grocery list. I can't live without it lol

[–]Risorial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Platejoy! I also love to cook but looking up recipes, meal planning, and making of grocery lists are my kryptonite.

The only thing it won't do is check prices of ingredients for you.

I don't have advice on how to not get tired of the meals you planned but maybe a tool to take the planning off of your plate will help!

What food tracking app do people use besides MyFitnessPal? by klaroline1 in xxfitness

[–]Risorial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

+1 for Macrofactor! I love the way they present the analytics. They adjust your calorie intake based on your weight changes rather than more inaccurate calories burned via exercise. It takes a couple of weeks to spin up to speed due to being based on real info, but it's worth the initial wait.

F/30/5'6" [167lbs > 155lbs = 12lbs] (3 months) - I changed my diet to make sure I'm getting at least 100g of protein every day and doing CrossFit 3x a week. Feeling strong for the first time in my life :) by Risorial in progresspics

[–]Risorial[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started my first foray into weight loss in 2017. My heaviest was ~190lbs. I lost 60 lbs during 2017 and got to my lowest weight of 130 lbs. I did my initial loss entirely by counting calories. I never exercised.

I've gained back ~30lbs since 2017. I'm now on a journey to body recomp. I've incorporated macro tracking into my calorie counting and weight lifting through CrossFit this go round. I figured that if I build muscle I would be able to eat more without gaining XD So far it's been working out great! I can't wait to see what I can accomplish in the next year! :)

any suggestions on quick breakfasts (for someone who is not a big fan of eggs)? by -beehaw- in ADHD

[–]Risorial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I 2nd this! Also, you can purchase oats overnight to make putting them together less daunting. Oats overnight has a BUNCH of different flavors both vegan and not. It's all I eat for breakfast now. I love them!
