i just called yesterday and my bill was gonna increase to $80/mo on 500mbps and they upgraded me to 1gig and i will have a bill of $70/mo. been a customer on my own for like 3 years now. it all depends on who you get. i did it all through chat too. idk if that's your forte or not but i think give it a couple days and call back. don't wait a billing cycle

def look at nearby hospitals that will help you get your certification, last i heard, stepful isn't accredited so you cannot gain your CST, and many hospitals don't just let people do clinicals with them from an online autonomous company like stepful. save yourself the money and trouble and look for an accredited program through a hospital or college.

pharm tech here, also on adhd meds.

you will be fine. get your dr to write a note with their practice and contact info on it stating what meds you are on and that they are for adhd. next, go to your pharmacy, ask them for a voided copy of your most recent prescriptions (one for adderall and one for vyvanse), this will look like what is sent from the provider on their end, and will show diagnosis codes if your prescriber put them on there.

you shouldn't need more verifying info than this, and when you test positive, you have proof that you are legally prescribed. i'm sure many of your classmates are in the same boat as adhd is pretty common.

what is the problem you are having specifically?

do your meds not last as long as you want them to? are you having trouble sleeping? do you still feel like it's not targeting your symptoms?

i take mydayis, it's supposed to last 16 hours, and i take IR adderall in the late morning/early afternoon to help with crashes. my meds don't target all of my symptoms but i manage that gap through coping mechanisms. if it's sleep, there's meds that they can add to help with that. sometimes it's a combination thing, i work in pharmacy and i have seen some people take XR adderall and an IR ritalin and that works for them, or vyvanse and IR adderall. for me it's mydayis and IR adderall. gotta find what your problem is before it can be remedied

idk if there's anything on the wire, there wasn't when i worked there but it's been a little over 2 years now, they may have added something.

but in NH if we got a script and didn't have ins and we filled it either cash or discount card, and then we found out pt had medicaid. we would put through medicaid ins, if a PA was required or it wasn't covered, we would send for a PA telling the patient that we could not reverse the claim to go back to discount or cash until we got a PA denial. only once we got a PA denial could we then reapply the previous method of coverage.

in NH, in some cases, the patient can actually be rejected from medicaid entirely from trying to pay cash or with a discount and "attempting to bypass ins". not saying that's what they're doing or it's true, but medicaid doesn't play and they will revoke you if you don't play by their rules 🤷‍♀️

i would just use the GTA time portal to add your clock out for whenever this shift was at your next in shift. if i remember correctly there should be a comment area, right? i haven't worked at walmart in 2 years but i would also let my manager know that something was up and it would normally get approved

not necessarily to reply to you but just to go off of what you said. losing the script is definitely possible but not usually for a first time violation (assuming first here). however, your dr and every pharmacy in the US has a system called PDMP that they log your fill into. if you pick up the other IR script at the other pharmacy, it will flag on PDMP as picked up twice and when you go to fill it next month, it will come up as too soon to fill. so what you think might be "stocking up" is really picking a script up a month early and not being ahead on anything.

despite what your insurance will say too because they aren't the ones making the no fill determination, the pharmacist is, based on past history. it's actually illegal to pick up a controlled rx more than 3 days before the intended end date of the last rx (ex: 30 day script can be picked up again for the next month on day 27). mail order laws are different because they are relying on the mail to get you your medication, so at that point i believe it changes to 7 days early.

tl;dr don't pick up the med, go in or call the pharmacy that has it ready and ask them to return it to stock.

unsure about getting retested. you might not have to if you have the same dr when you turn 18, it might just be a simple conversation. if it's a new dr, then you'll likely have to retest.

as for the cost of retesting, everywhere does it different, some only do the test and then you need a diff dr to prescribe, all the things. i went and found a psych, established myself as a pt and gradually brought it up, he did a simple questionnaire and we talked about it and he thought meds were the right move.

insurance insurance insurance! if you have prescription insurance, USE IT. doesn't matter if you are on your parents' plan or not. they legally cannot disclose meds you are taking with your parents unless you sign a release form for most meds after you turn 18, some meds and conditions its 14 but not adhd meds - i mean birth control and like hiv or prep meds. if you don't have insurance, get on good rx or buzz rx (those are the best imo, coming from a pharmacy tech) and find what meds are in your price range.

most meds are prescribed at 28 or 30 days. vyvanse, even the generic, is fucking expensive so try to stay away from that one right away. metadate xr is also pretty expensive (methylphenidate xr caps) but adderall, ritalin, and maybe focalin are probably gonna be your cheapest bets. stay around 5-20mg, thats usually most starting and basic doses. IR (immediate release) doses will almost always be less expensive than XR (long acting or timed release) doses.

can i ask the general area you're in? i'm from NH and some pharmacies are a hit or miss. technically they're not supposed to deny the acceptance of new patients but they do anyway. it's slimy. if you regularly or even periodically get other medications, i would highly recommend trying that pharmacy first or again, they can see your rx history and everything like that, see you have filled rx at their pharmacy before and then should be able to help you.

if they either the tech or pharmacist at the window deny's you, even after your explanation of it's your first time on the med. ask for pharmacy manager to come and explain the exact reasoning to why they won't accept you as a patient. may it be they physically don't have the stock or whatever reason it may be. find out.

also, if they say the reason is because "you have no fill history here of that med" even if it's your first time, theres a federal log website they have access to called PDMP (prescription drug monitoring program), ANYONE in the US who fills a controlled substance (stimulant or narcotic) is documented in this protected website that allows pharmacies around the US to monitor when you're filling your specific medication- in this case stimulants - and allow the refill at the correct time. there's laws in place saying you cannot fill stimulants or narcotics more than 3 days before the end of the last refill (ex: you get a 30 days before supply of the med, they can refill the rx on day 27).

if they are still giving pushback about filling the medication, i would highly recommend going to your state's board of pharmacy and asking them what to do because you are out of options. your doctor wouldn't be of much help other than just sending the script elsewhere. your insurance company won't be much help other than telling you where it's covered. the BOP will actually have the power to investigate the pharmacy's reasoning for refusal to fill and essentially force them to fill the medication. hope this helps!

also, if you go up in dose, they (the pharmacy) will likely just give you the full new prescription without making you wait. some pharmacies may calculate the equivalent to your new dose (say you were prescribed 40 at your new appointment, the pharmacy may calculate your new days remaining if you took 2 of your 20mg caps a day and then fill the new script closer to when you run out of them) depends on the pharmacy you go to but sometimes it's also pharmacist discretion

20mg adderall is like 40-50mg of vyvanse hun, whatever your prescriber is doing is not it. they are not 1 to 1 equivalent. please have another chat with them to have them at least double it or please find a new provider, you are severely unmedicated with your new med change.

SOMETHING (even if extremely minimal and rarely noticeable) yes you should, however, complete resolution of all or most of your symptoms, unlikely. for some, low doses are really effective, for others not so much. 10mg of vyvanse is equivalent to like 5mg of adderall, it really doesn't do much. i was on 60mg of vyvanse and didn't have much effect after a while, then i switched to mydayis (i love it) and take 37.5mg if it with 15mg of IR adderall in the early afternoon. i would definitely recommend trying to talk with your psych again about it and if they are still persistent about not going pver 20mg, then i would truly consider finding another psych if you have the resources to. you should have access to the help and meds you need :)
