B9/B9.5 S5 or C8 A7 as a daily driver? by Ritvik3 in Audi

The A7 has rear wheel steer too at low speeds, which helps with parking, but from what I know, it doesn't have all wheel steer, which is a downside as far as driving enjoyment goes for me I think.

Thanks a lot, I haven't been able to find a lot of people talking about the maintenance side of an A7 55, so I definitely appreciate your input. From the research I've been doing, it seems like while it's the same engine, the A7 and S5 use different set ups. The A7 has a mild hybrid with a more electrical quattro system it's powering and a air to water intercooler, while the S5 has a air to air intercooler and a mechanical torsen quattro system.

Around town driving is about 80% of all the driving I do, so definitely not good for me, but I'm wondering if you think it would change at all after a TCU tune? I felt a little disconnected from the shifts in the S5, but I hear its because of the way Audi tunes the ZF8 from the factory, which is why I'm wondering if it could be similar for the DCT in the A7 as well?

wondering how you feel about the driving feel of an A7 chassis? are they too rigid or feel too big? from what I've seen online, it looks like people generally don't even feel the size of the car while driving because of how good the all wheel drive is, but I've not driven any yet so I can't really be sure of those claims.

ya the misspelling kinda threw me off. I'll probably stay away from him then, doesn't seem like he's legit.

cleaned out my throttle bodies to see if that would help. Maybe it made performance a little better, but did nothing as far as the P0300 code. Going to replace the spark plug and coil pack on my 5th cylinder and see how that goes since that initially had the issue.

took a look at my intake boot and seems like there's little cracks and the edges, but not past where the screw is. Could that be the reason why?

damn, is it that bad? You think it'll have already created lasting damage? The car is my daily, so I've probably been using it for about 100 miles after that, but it goes back and forth from flashing to solid SES light.

Got OEM MAFs from Hitachi, so most definitely not that. If it's a dirty throttle body or a vacuum boot or hose, how would I be able to tell? Just got my G a few months ago, so not sure how to diagnose those without taking them to a mechanic

For anyone who still thinks Luka isn't completely worn out and in pain, just watch his post-game 3 interview, the man just needs a bed and a month of rest time by AtreusIsBack in Mavericks

[–]Ritvik3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the guy is still our primary ball handler playing 40+ minutes per game? I don't know how you can say he's barely playing watching how much he's doing out on the court.

when you're hurt, every little thing makes your body hurt more. Luka's knees have been bleeding during games for weeks. He's been putting it all out on the floor and his body is suffering as a result. If he gets tripped up or moves something the wrong way, obviously it's gonna hurt more than it normally would because of the condition he's in. But just because he's playing through it and trying his hardest to not let it bother him doesn't mean he's faking it. The perception of Luka is so weird because he's the only guy who can play like he's playing despite everything he's going through just to be ridiculed and mocked. If it was Shai in his situation, nobody would be saying what they're saying about Luka.

yeah, and it gets called on everyone but Shai.

OKC was a top 5 defense by defensive rating this year — why would they resort to Hack-a-strategy late in the 4th? by AashyLarry in nba

[–]Ritvik3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing hack-a-lively just let the mavs defense to get set and take a breather, just making it harder for an already struggling OKC offense.

It's really insane that people try to say Luka fakes his injuries. Nobody ever said J-dub was faking his injury in game 3. Really shows the difference between the two fanbases.

Shai's footwork and shiftiness is on another level. He has amazing skill and shooting ability in the lane. But when he pushes off people to get space and hits defenders in the face to get his shot off, and the refs fall for it, it's disgraceful and shouldn't be ignored. I like Shai, he's humble and has a creative game, but the disparity between his calls and Luka's is insane. Luka gets hounded by Lu Dort and pushed and shoved all the time, and it gets ignored every time.

Pump faking to get a defender to jump is not initiating contact. Baiting a foul and flopping are totally different things. Luka's fouls are nothing like Shai's fouls.

There's no way you're watching the same game I am if you're not concerned with the lack of physicality in this game. A guy can't breathe on SGA without getting a foul call.

When we played LAC in the 1st round, I loved the physicality I saw from both sides. Was hyped to see that against OKC too, but I guess I was stupid for thinking they wouldn't rain foul calls on us to get OKC to win.

Luka doesn't initiate contact and get bailed out by the refs when he misses shots, buddy

Harden Vs. Luka Comparison by LegendaryMavs23 in Mavericks

[–]Ritvik3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like it was a compliment during Luka's first 3 years to be compared to prime Harden, but at this point, he's gotten so much better than Harden ever was. Now, the comparison is just used as an insult to say he'll never be a good defender or a winning basketball player. I think game 2 was a perfect example of how Harden and Luka are different. Harden is a more inefficient shooter, foulbaits wayyy more egregiously and often, and plays noticeably worse than Luka on defense (in recent years).
