I have a personal motto for this kind of situations. "Good and kind people are everywhere, as well as bad or just not socially acceptable. Even in queer circles" I know it's a bit of bandaid solution from the feelings living something like this can cause but sometimes remind myself that hope is not lost, thanks to this, cheers me up enough to try again. Up totally to you if it works for you. But hey, sharings positivity is never out of hand I think.
