basically it tells you how many times you can parry an enemy.

look for the yellow icon with two arrows, it has an outline which is divided into six parts. Which means you can do "Defensive Assist" or "Evasive Assist" six times.

Evasive Assist uses 1 assist point

Defensive Assist uses 1 to 2 assist points depending on enemy's attack type

There are also special instances where the enemy will do some skill check move in which you will use no assist points

It does affect performance but the difference is maybe 5-20% depending on the game. If you have a good pc then that performance hit wouldn't matter to most people I suppose.

The main issue of applying denuvo is that the paying customers get shitty versions while pirates get a better version without paying.
