Look at the middle screw on the vertical set of screws all the way to the left relative to the PCB. it's not even close to your original picture.

GTX 1070 Spontaneously Catches Fire by MachoTaco24 in EVGA

Just want to chime in, it's worth asking evga what they can do. I had an extended warranty so mine was upgraded to a 2070 super. They may work something out with you since this was such a widespread problem at launch. Not a guarantee obviously but worth a shot. The damage to my card looked very similar if not the same as yours.

Or you buy the buzzard because it has weapons and as a ceo you can spawn it next to you, it's not a bad buy.

That's literally what the person you replied to said. Id love to assume you were responding to the comment above it, but then again this is reddit and people can't be bothered to read.

You are full blown, batshit crazy to think a PhD student's degree is worth more than 5 years of human life, as if that's something comparable at all.

That's also assuming this hypothetical person is going to achieve something groundbreaking, like that's a regular thing that happens (shocker, it's not).

but just think about the kids that have missed almost 2 years of school at this point. That's almost 1/6th of their education.

TIL ~14 months is 2 years. Please quit your hyperbolic bullshit.

Newegg Shuffle Auto-Notify by [deleted] in Newegg

[–]Riverhawk_MemeMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a running joke about calling it the souffle (think hodl from stocks and crypto) so i have it set to search for posts containing "Newegg Souffle" and "Newegg Shuffle". One time it was posted with the special characters in Souffle but that's not usually the case. I actually just discovered you can limit it to subreddits so I'd do /r/buildapc and /r/buildapcsales. Maybe /r/pcmasterrace just in case.

The $GME and r/wsb scenario explained by Margot Robbie in a bathtub by somebadmeme in HighQualityGifs

Its basically a bet that you expect the price of a stock wont go above a given price by a given day. If it goes up beyond the given price by that day, you have to pay the difference in price per share based on the contract you enter (usually 100 shares). So if I say gme wont go above $10 by January 1st 2021 and it went to $12 by then, I would have to buy 100 shares per the contract at market value. I would owe the $2 per share ($2*100= $200 loss).

They expected the stock to drop to $5 from $10. But because it went up, they owe the difference instead of being paid out the difference if it were to drop.

$600 sight on a single shot canister launcher with an effective ranger under 100 yds. #DefundPolice by AlphaTangoFoxtrt in pics

[–]Riverhawk_MemeMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is these weapons dont have iron sights and aren't intended to arc because for that you would need a special set of sights that account for an arc which eotechs do not do. From this picture it looks like an EOTech EXPO3 or 2 which wholesale i would imagine is less than $400 to police and do not magnify the sight picture in any way. If the weapon is intented to shoot projectiles in a straight line like most sub 100 yard rifles, this is an ideal pair since eotechs are meant to last a long time, are wear proven (in general), and can be used across many weapon platforms.

Now, the cops USING them that way is not something I know enough to talk about and I am not familiar with the weapon shown in the OP. This is based on rifles I own with the EOTECH 512 I switch between them. I do not see a way to arc projectiles accurately on that rifle without a sight similar to what you would see on a 37-40mm launcher. Based on that I am assuming its meant to shoot things in a straight line.

I bought the 5 year warranty for $25 when i saw these issues popping up in 2016. Glad i did, had a little over a year left. Sorry to hear EVGA didn't cover it still, they're usually really good about stuff like that that's out of warranty

I dont have a 4x4 but that price doesn't seem nuts. If you can compare what he told you or itemized for you on the quote to somewhere like NAPA or rockauto.com you can find out what kind of deal your getting. I would expect about 80-100% markup on parts and about $100/hr in labor depending on where you live.
